This is a very quaint hotel that is in a great location, not far from San Marco, but in a very quiet square. The Vaporetta stop is literally a 5 minute walk away. Our room was in their back building overlooking the canal. It was...More
The service was exceptional, the breakfast well presented and filling, the decor is tasteful without being overdone, rooms very clean and well appointed albeit a bit smaller than a chain hotel, very pet friendly - the staff was very courteous and helpful. It is an...More

The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

The Hotel BEL SITO is easy to reach with public boat Linea 1 from the terminals of Piazzale Roma or from Santa Lucia Railway Station, getting off at stop called Santa Maria del Giglio, after Accademia Bridge, or with a private water taxi right to the water entrance, surely more expensive.
We look forward to have the pleasure of welcoming you!
