Perfect location. Very friendly staff. Rooms are clean and cool if not modern. Lovely to sit and have breakfast from the buffet in the courtyard. Just off a main street so feels secluded but perfect for getting anywhere quickly. No free wifi

The hotel is situated at a less than 5 min walk from santo marco boat stop. The place has a nice breakfast buffee, this is very nice to have a good breakfast in the morning. The service is nice and the rooms are very small but clean and nice. Good value and quality for the money paid.

It is named after its 2 old wells. It is advisable to get information on how to go the hotel before arrival because it is located at a small lane off the main road. The staff are very helpful and attentive. I love the small courtyard with comfortable chairs and tables in front of the hotel where one can relax...

Good location, just short 7 mins walk from San Marco ferry point. Pls note you need to enter a very small tiny lane, next to Burberrys to get to hotel entrance. Strongly advice to print a google map and ask the local police on duty, if unsure. Dont be shy, the whole troop is on patrol duty and Venice is...

Hotel Pozzi was very clean and had a nice breakfast. Good location, easy to find. Our one issue was our room was as hot as a sauna, we were told to open the window--bad move--we got ate alive by mosquitoes.

My wife and I stayed here in August 2014 to start our honeymoon. Staff were very friendly from the moment we arrived and we were happy with their services throughout our stay. The hotel is set back off one of the main walkways and has a lovely courtyard which you can also sit at for breakfast. The tables have large...

We were delighted with our recent stay. Large bathroom and room. Small little lift, but it did the job. Friendly and helpful staff. Substantial breakfast included and this hotel allowed one night stays, unlike many in Venice. The street was a little noisy during the night, but it's a city, so I can hardly complain about that.

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
