Although the hotel in places our room being one of them is threadbare it was clean. Our room had a lovely shower and plenty of room for 3 people. Breakfast was good plenty of choice. I would love to go back one day to this hotel and wonderful Venice.

I just don't understand why they fill its up to the hotel, to decide when to put on air con, our room was like a sauna, and was told by management, its November now, air con not needed , but believe me it spoilt are holiday, hotel it self was ok, but I wish they would just listen to customer,...

The location of the hotel couldn't be better - off the main luxury brands' shopping street and 3 minutes' walk away from the St. Marco square. Our room was big enough for three people (good quality extra bed) and comfortable enough. It was quite simple, with worn-out carpets, holes drilled into the wall to support some furniture gone long time...

We have just spent 4 days celebrating our 50th at this hotel and it is a must for any body visiting Venice it's central for all the sites, breakfast was really good plenty to choose from, nice family run Hotel. Don't try and eat or drink in St Mark's square it will cost a fortune. Every body was friendly and...

First trip to Venice and we booked a room at Do Pozzi. The hotel was very easy to find, at the end of an iff the path courtyard. The rooms are nice and large for European standard, the only issue is the noise levels in the hotel (you will here everything). The best part about the hotel is the breakfast...good...

The best hot chocolate I have ever had came from this wondrous little nook of a hotel. The entrance is tucked away and you would think in a confined area but no, next to a Burberry and alongside many other high fashion retailers. It is for EVERYONE seriously! It is literally a 5 second walk to get to Burberry but...

Staff here is very accommodating. We arrived to a room with two light bulbs burned out and they were replaced immediately. Breakfast included a little bit of everything and was quite tasty, especially the coffee. Our room is small but big enough for two to move around. The shower is very small making it difficult to scrub, shave and wash...

We got this hotel as part of a package and it lived up to all the other places we stayed. We asked for a king and got two twins that were almost pushed together. The room was decorated like my grandma's guest room with a tiny screen near the ceiling. It had what we guessed was a Murano glass chandelier...

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room. Good breakfast. Very suitable base for exploring Venice - near st Mark's Square and designer shops but quiet situation. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Everything about Venice is lovely including this hotel. The rooms are quite cozy, the bathrooms are neat and well maintained. Breakfast was sumptuous and has a lot of variety. The outdoor seating arrangement gives you a nice feel of the city interiors. The location is also near to the centre and ferry terminal.

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
