We had a lovely experience at Hotel San Moise, helpful staff (Although when we checked in at night, the receptionist didn't know English much, it was hard to understand what he was saying) but very helpful otherwise :) Room was very big and clean, toilet was soo clean. Breakfast was soo delicious (American style buffet) and the kitchen staffs were...

We have just returned from Venice, staying 4 nights at this hotel. We had the cheapest room in the hotel and found it to be more than satisfactory. Staff were great, room clean, great atmosphere and located a couple of minutes away from St. Marks square in a smart part of central Venice. The décor of the room was very...

This place sits enviably right next the fashion street with all the designers labels and few mins from the square. Hotel itself is slightly old but the rooms we had were big compared to what others got. And was cleaned everyday so it was good... staff were helpful too. So overall good experience.

We arrived by water taxi and although expensive this was probably the best way as the hotel is difficult to find. It is very central but in a bit of a maze of streets. Rooms are spacious and traditionally decorated. Breakfast was the only let down and this was pretty awful. Great value for money though and we were able...

Reading previous bad reviews of the hotel on here left me a little apprehensive about staying at this hotel. I have to say however that it was completely unwarranted. The hotel was lovely, the traditional styled rooms with Murano light fittings were a lovely touch. The rooms were adequately sized for two people and much bigger than rooms I have...

Very cheap break, nothing to complain about. Hotel situated near the centre warm rooms all you need v clean breakfast buffet and ok. Rooms have soap and shower foam in plenty of towels, pillows etc. We know there were nicer rooms but we had a cheap break so understand the small room we had but great value.

We stayed here for a couple of nights and as a family of four we had a huge room with an amazing chandelier overlooking the very Italian courtyard. Sitting at breakfast you look out the window to gondolas doing by! It was well run, clean and a nice stay! Highly recommend

This is a basic hotel but adequate hotel. Rooms are very small. Breakfast is plentiful but economy standard fare. The advantage is that the price was competitive for a central location. It does have a lovely courtyard that would be lovely in warmer weather. The décor is quirky and authentic.

... it is true that this Hotel is located 3 seconds away (walking) from Piazza San Marco, however the standard of the Hotel is quite low. The room we stayed in was very very small and the forniture's choice was debatable. The toilet was so small that you could barely move. The room was dark with a feeble light. There...

Dear Customer. Thank you for your review but it seems there are some points that are not clear. On booking.com you chosen the cheapest room possible that is also the smallest. about eletricity, i am not sure about the problem. of the bulb was broken of you simply did not plug the card to have the eletricity in the room....

Located at San Marco, this is a decent hotel with superb location.. You have to get acquainted with some narrow routes of Venice and it is all yours.. Hotel is known to locals so you won't get lost and to my surprise people of Venice are very helpful.. The hotel is nearby to many super brand showrooms and morano glass...

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
