We had stayed in Venice for 4 nights at a beautiful 3* hotel and had booked a final night at a hotel closer to the airport for our flight home the following day. On arrival the hotel we had booked had clearly double booked and...More

Can't really fault the Alexander hotel. Great location, nice beach, clean rooms. Breakfast was average and it could do with an extra lift but overall a really nice hotel and good value for money. Excellent service from the staff... Night porter even donated us some...More
Was moved here from the original hotel we had booked as hotel had overbooked !!
It was in the middle of no-where - very tired, old and needs a total renovation.
Would not stay here again and thankfully it was only for 1 night.

I took the airport bus that stops less than a block away from the hotel on the main street. If i remember correctly, I think it cost 6.50 euros pp one way and is a good option. Venice Marco polo airport is not very far and the hotel can provide you the time table and tickets for the ride. This would be a better option if it's one or two people but if you are a family of more than 3 people then i think taking a taxi makes more sense. I don't think the hotel provides any kind of shuttle service.
