Recommended by a friend, we found the Hotel Florida to be very convenient and comfortable. It is worth it to upgrade to a "superior" room. Our room was fine, but our friends' mattress was not. Maybe they just hadn't gotten a new one in that...More

We were traveling by train so the location was excellent. At first, as we walked down the alley way and entered the somewhat outdated lobby/reception and I was a bit skeptical about the quality of the rooms. However, our double was really nice and the...More

The weekend we stayed was quite warm. As soon as we walked in the hotel smelled like alley way. The people were very friendly, and the room was clean, but the room smelled and our windows opened to a roof top alley where empty kegs...More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby

all the rooms has private ensuite bathroom except one, but you simply have to indicate you do not want ( or want because it's cheaper ) the external bathroom room. In any case it's not to be shared but exclusive use only.
