The Venice Hotel Savoia & Jolanda is located in the historical center of Venice, a few minutes away from St. Mark Square, in a splendid position along Riva degli Schiavoni, in front of the Venice lagoon, from there it enjoys the unforgettable view of Saint Mark's Basin and the St. George Island. Its position allows one to reach easily the Mercerie and Via XXII Marzo with some of the world's finest shopping and to visit the Venice palaces, museums and the art galleries, lesser-known Venice like the more fascinating and secluded as the Sestiere Castello.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hotel's Favourite
A perfect location close to Piazza San Marco right on the main waterway. Service from ever staff member was outstanding! The restaurant has some of best food in Venice - and we tried a lot of them! Our room was a little small on the top floor and quite a hike to get to in and around many stairs and hallways but it was all that was left when we booked. We checked out rooms accessible via just the elevator and they were much more spacious so book early!

I was a guest here for five nights. The hotel was freezing cold. When I raised the problem nothing was done, I asked at least for an electrical heater but the only thing I was given was an extra blanket. Apparently, as the previous week the weather had been warm and the hotel had already set the conditioner on the cold mode it was costly to change it. They preferred to let the guests freeze and be uncomfortable. This is unacceptable in a four stats hotel, that also applies the four minimum night stay during the opening of the various events that happen in Venice

Location was perfect. Boat stop right in front of hotel. The only thing we regret is that there were no rooms with a lagoon view available at the time of our booking because they looked amazing (we had a 👀 inside). Room was great, no view (looking at a wall). Every day clean towels, very friendly staff.

We recently spent 6 nights at this hotel and what a great choice we made. We treated ourselves to a canal view suite which was on the 4th floor, room 401. I can thoroughly recommend this room which was of a great size, had plenty of furniture, a super new bathroom, tea-making facilities, an espresso coffee machine, a mini-bar, and a good heating/air con thermostat. All in all an extremely nice room. We also went half board and ate in the restaurant every evening. Again another great choice. The food was of a consistently very high standard as was the excellent breakfast choice. All the staff both in the hotel and restaurant were very helpful, friendly and efficient. We can thoroughly recommend this hotel for it facilties, staff and super close location to St Marks square.

The rooms were noisy. I heard the neighbor's TV and the neighbor's coughing. But you have that in older buildings. The location was perfect. Employees were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very extensive but also expensive. Had a nice meal in the restaurant in the evening.

We have stayed at this hotel before and always rated it very highly. This time, although we booked a lagoon view room and paid quite a bit more than last time, we were given an attic room which is in need of an upgrade. We did have a very small terrace which did indeed look over the lagoon. My husband did wonder if the usual rooms were being renovated. The hotel did not seem particularly busy so I am not sure why we were put in the attic and nobody explained why. Also the hotel booking sites currently state that lagoon view rooms come with a bottle of wine on the first night. We didn’t have that. The attic room has a very grand sofa but the TV is behind the sofa. Luckily we did not have plans to watch TV. Otherwise it would have meant moving heavy furniture. The breakfast service is very good with a good choice. I have always liked this hotel but this time was more disappointing than previous occasions.

A beautiful, old hotel in a fantastic location. Delightful room. The staff are absolutely superb for helpfulness, efficiency, courtesy and friendliness. Mr Hans and all the staff at Reception are brilliant and very thoughtful. Everything was handled smoothly and effectively with a smile. In the Breakfast Room, Ljubica was amazing! Extremely hard working and efficient and very welcoming and kind. The staff at dinner were also very friendly and efficient and provided a cake with candles for my birthday! The food was excellent. My wife and I intend to stay again at least once next year.
