Stayed here for 3 nights. Perfectly located, lovely view, spotlessly clean and helpful staff. Wouldn't hesitate to come back. The staff, available between 9am and 3.30pm gave us great restaurant recommendations and sorted our taxis to and from the airport. No more than a 5 minute walk from San Marco piazza.

First, the bright side - it was all very clean, the staff helpful and nice, the hotel has a great location. And now worse - ground floor room was very dark, and especially the bed was very narrow (possibly less than 140 cm) and we didnt sleep really well. This gives us much wrong staying!

We were delighted with this self-catering accommodation for our 4-night stay in Venice. We were given a second floor apartment for 6, which was ideal for our family of four; we used the sofa-bed in the larger bedroom for one of the children. Two modern, clean bathrooms - such a luxury for a family with teenagers! We really appreciated having...

The outside of the building hides the absolutely beautiful interior. We had a ground floor apartment with the entry on the side lane way. What a stunning interior. Modern kitchen, beautifully decorated and 2 bathrooms. It was an absolute treat and our receptionist, Jessica was delightful. A short 5 minute walk from San Zahcceria wharf. Simply beautiful.

This is a lovely spacious apartment in a perfect quiet spot only a stonesthrow away from the centre of many vibrant main areas of Venice . From here, it's an easy few minutes walk to St Marks Square, and also only a few minutes away from Rialto Bridge. A great apartment, beautifully decorated and maintained. I would not hesitate to...

We spent 3 days here with my family last summer. It was the crown on our 2 weeks of road trip. We left the car outside of Venice. This accommodation cost more (obviously) than other hotels outside of Venice but it definitely worth every penny. It is only 2 minutes walk to St. Mark Square. The view from the hotel...

Nice apartment, good kitchen, two bathrooms, working Wi-Fi. Location is perfect, a bit off the major touristic attractions, but still close enough. Quiet neighborhood. Just a few hundred meters from the harbor .

Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
