Room 101, large corner room with view towards St Marks, excellent wet room/shower as requested for poor mobility needs. Housekeeping excellent. Breakfast was a treat, everything fresh and hot, service could not be faulted and the best part was the luxury of eating it on...More
This hotel has a great location on the Grand Canal steps away from Saint Mark's Square. We dined alfresco on the edge of the Grand Canal watching the boats go by. Food at dinner and breakfast was very good as was the service. Rooms were...More
Stayed here for an initial two days and then extended our stay for two more because our flight was cancelled due to french air traffic control strike. God bless em! Comfy room, great location by St Marks Square, gondola halt and the Valdoresso vaporetto stop....More
Amazing location, but some rooms are very small, with little or no view. The drinks in the bar are very expensive! But location, location, location! The restaurant is excellent, and worth visiting even if you aren't staying in this hotel.

The hotel is literally next to San Marco and right in the middle of fancy boutiques. While not much reminds of it inside it is a historical building, and arrival by water taxi is majestic. That compensates for rather smallish rooms (but that is kind...More
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
