First of all, thanks to Michael the caretaker of this B&B. Very very nice guy. He helped us carrying our heavy luggage... Gave us recommendation of nice restaurants and tourist attractions. Had a bit of mix up with the date that we had booked but the owner gave us good deal for it. The place was immaculate....Beautiful rooms and bathroom......

Rialto was the best experience in Venice İtaly. We just stayed for one night, room was very nice, clean, cosy and comfy. Quiet and so romantic place. The breakfast was very good. Location is perfect, next to Rialto Bridge. Many thanks to Adrianna, she was very helpful and very nice. You have to stay at Rialto, very very recommended!!!!!!!

Exceptional central location near Rialto Bridge. A highlight is the terrace, where you can eat breakfast overlooking the fascinating morning "rush hour" on the Grand Canal. The kitchen includes a range and stocked fridge so you can scramble an egg if you are tired of the pastry-only offerings at most places. There's also an espresso machine, which our fantastic host,...

We loved our stay at B&B Rialto and couldn't fault the room, the breakfast, or the hostess, Adrianna. Our room overlooked the Grand Canal and was next door to the local produce markets which included fruit and veges and fish and seafood. The communal fridge allowed us to purchase goods which we could cook in the kitchen and eat on...

The location is right on the grand canal and next to the big produce and fish market. PROS: - location - assorted breakfast items along with fresh fruit and expresso maker - air conditioned rooms (not the common areas) - terrace overlooking the canal...great to sit on while eating breakfast and seeing the merchants getting their products from boats -...

I couldn’t fault our stay at the B&B Rialto. We arrived on a Saturday lunchtime from Marco Polo Airport. We got the bus direct to Piazza Roma and made the decision to walk to the hotel. It wasn’t the wisest choice due to all the steps and bridges but it only took us around 15 to 20 minutes to the...

This B&B was awesome, great location right by rialto bridge and the room was excellent. We had a double room. that looked out over the canal, what an amazing sight to wake upto in the morning, The breakfast was a box of food, continental breakfast items, plus youghurt etc...left in the fridge for you. Each room had their own trays...

I found this B&B because of the excellent ratings and I certainly wasn't dissapointed. Everything is perfect. Breakfast is a box of goodies waiting to be opened (each room has a tray of food and a shelf in the refrigerator with everything you need for a complete breakfast). I stayed at the room with the shared bathroom which has an...

I booked this place on the basis of the other reviews here and was not disappointed. We stayed for 3 nights at the end of August with our 18 month old son and we are so glad we booked this place! After a bit of a long and hot walk from the vaporetto stop (if you are travelling in the...

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
