Positives: - Authentically decorated palazzo with lots of attention to detail. - Very comfortable. - Room had a canal view. - Close to rail station. - Close to supermarkets. - Friendly, helpful owner and staff. - Fully serviced. Negatives: - Was confused with which apartment to expect. Many photos available on booking site, but not clear what we were getting....

Nicely located, close by Piazzale Roma for those who come by car. Plenty of good and not expensive (by Venice standards) restaurants near by. Stayed in an apartment overlooking the canal but still very quiet. Overall a great stay.

Overall staying here was a good experience. The Residence is in a beautiful old building on a quiet street next to a small canal. There is a gorgeous courtyard, lots of stairs. Our apartment was spacious, nice big living room (we didn't figure out the TV and there were no instructions), tiny kitchen minimally equipped. It would have been hospitable...

Dear Guest, I am very sorry you had such a bad impression of me. As you can read from all the other reviews, I am always very kind with all my guests. Welcoming is my philosophy and kindness is my attitude towards life itself. Unfortunately English is not my mother tongue and sometimes my way of speaking is not perfect;...

This hotel with its old world charm is located on a small canal in a quiet neighborhood of Venice. It is surrounded by great restaurants and quaint cafes. It is far enough away from the tourist attractions yet close enough to walk to all. The rooms are very lovely and clean and comfortable as well. The concierge is friendly and...

Spent three days in the Residence Palazzo Apts not to be confused with the hotel in the same building. Large family apt with beds for three or four. Nice view of canal close to train station and vaporetti system. Apt was clean and quiet. Nice Guard Dog! A little far from St. Marc's and Rialto. Good value for money.

We enjoyed our stay at the Residence Palazzo Odoni. Just to be clear - this review is for the residence, which has self-catering apartments, and not the hotel, which operates as a bed and breakfast. The two are housed in the same building and share some public spaces, but I can't comment on the hotel (which looks cute). We very...

This hotel is only a few minutes walk from the station in Venice. It's in a quiet area, close to several good restaurants. The rooms are very comfortable, with everything you would expect. Breakfast is a first-class buffet. The only drawback is that the hotel is on the second floor and there is no lift.

I booked an apartment in Palazzo Odoni, and had a wonderful experience. We went there, as a family, to celebrate my 10th wedding anniversary, with a surprise vow-renewal for my wife. Micheleand his wife Ema were brilliant in helping me organize every tiny detail of my wedding, and also maintaining secrecy ( my wife was completely surprised). The whole experience...

Hotel Palazzo Odoni on Fondamenta Minotto in the Santa Croce district is an easy 8 minute walk from Piazza Roma (2 bridges) and no more than 20 minutes from the train station, (3 bridges). It’s a lovely canal that is much quieter than the surrounding area. The canal and surrounding buildings are really among the loveliest in all of Venice....

Very close to S. Lucia train station and bus stop which made getting to and from hotel very easy. Breakfast was amazing everyday. All staff were so kind and very helpful! Hotel was exceptionally clean and exactly how was pictured when booking! It was a relaxing stay at Palazzo Odoni.

Staying in Santa Croce

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighbourhood identity.
