We stayed here for the last three nights of our honeymoon. This was undoubtedly one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. We arrived by rail and the hotel was less than 10 minutes walk from the station. Top tip - use one of the official porters! The hotel has a beautiful courtyard and garden area, which adds to the peaceful charm. The inside is clean, the rooms are lovely and well appointed. Breakfast was excellent - we had ours in the garden. There is a cocktail bar set up in the garden in the evening, which was great on our way out/back from/to the hotel. A good walk to the main tourist areas, but less than 30 minutes or so. Some really good restaurants and bars nearby, decent cafe bar just outside the hotel. The staff were so helpful and welcoming, absolutely lovely people. We left by water taxi to the airport, which the hotel booked for us. We are resolved to come back again.…
Dearest Francesca and Luca, I would like to thank you once again for one of the best times in my life, in the light and the colors of October, in the most beautiful city of the world, your – our – Venice. It meant a true privilege to spend three weeks with you in Santa Croce Boutique Hotel, as you know and as I have pointed out in detail in my former reviews, it is my favourite place, where I feel at home. I would like to congratulate you and all of your team from the bottom of my heart for everything you have accomplished, even more during the past extremely demanding periods. You have succeeded in a marvelous way. Even though it is a hotel which allows every guest as much privacy as one wants and needs to enjoy, it nevertheless feels like being a guest in a private home. This makes it so special for a single traveller, always feeling to be surrounded by your warmth and attention – by your Venetian spirit of true hospitality. For guests, who might read this, I would also like to point out the great "strategic" position of Santa Croce Boutique Hotel: it is situated in a neighbourhood where you can still feel the life of the Venetians, but at the same time it is just a five minutes' walk from Santa Lucia train station. From there you have an abundant choice of connections taking you to various interesting places within more or less an hour's (most comfortable and cheap) train ride. These visits beyond the laguna open a new horizon, also concerning Venice's history. Generally spoken, whoever has the possibility – the privilege – to spend a longer period in Venice and the Veneto, you will be rewarded by getting to know the treasure of true Venice, and for this experience, I assure you, Santa Croce Boutique Hotel is your perfect home away from home. Dear Francesca and Luca, please give my warmest regards and thanks to all of the team. No doubt, I will be back next October for another long stay, taking my time. The colors, once again, will absorb the light in a breathtaking way, the reflections on the water signifying transparency, like for more than thousand years it has been – and it still is – transmitted by art. Un abbraccio caloroso a tutti voi Angelika…
I spent 5 wonderful nights at this beautiful property. The hotel is filled with elegance, Venetian charm, yet is modern at the same time. Service is top-notch. Breakfasts are excellent. I cannot say enough good things about staying here. No need to look farther.
This is a beautiful hotel. It's in a great location for exploring venice and the staff are lovely. Ricardo was wonderful and even gave us water when we were leaving as it was such a hot day. The breakfast is lovely and there is a gorgeous bar area. Highly recommend.
The Santa Croce Boutique hotel is 5* on every point. 1st class attentive service by the loveliest staff (Francesca & Luca look after your every wish for planning the best Venice experience ) personalised & delicious cocktails served in a tranquil garden, luxurious rooms & perfect location. Truly sumptuous! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
100 out 10 stars! I could brag and brag about this hotel, but the words could describe how nice it is. The rooms are excellent with amazing showers. The patio and the cocktail hour on the porch is absolutely perfect. The breakfast is a perfect way to start the day. The staff is the absolute best part of the hotel. They go so far beyond the call of duty. We will definitely come back.
If you are visiting Venice you will be very lucky to stay at the Santa Croce Hotel, a 15 room boutique hotel. The location is perfect. A very short walk to the train station and waterbus stop. (A few steps, but that is Venice) Set in a small piazza away from the “tourist” areas. A nearby piazza has multiple wonderful restaurants, a grocery store, bakery, and wine store. A walled entrance to the Santa Croce Hotel opens up into a beautiful garden terrace with small groupings of seating where breakfast can be taken in the morning or a nightcap in the evening. You are greeted by Marco and Luca whose attention to their guests, knowledge of Venice, and recommendations makes your stay most enjoyable. The rooms are spotless and each room different and unique( we had 3 rooms in our group). Our cozy room had a nautical theme with a stunning bathroom, a refrigerator, and closet safe. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast serve in the courtyard every morning was included and offered extensive choices. Carlo, the bartender, made drinks ranging from basic to exotic. Our only regret about our stay at the Santa Croce Hotel is that we could not stay longer! Great value. Absolutely wonderful experience.…
Once again, the TripAdvisor community has it right on the nose about this charming boutique hotel. Its location is terrific--a 10-minute walk (if you know what you're doing!) from either the train or bus station. The hotel is tucked in a quiet part of the Santa Croce neighborhood and is easily accessible to all the major attractions of Venice. The word I would use for this hotel is "sophisticated." It has a quiet elegance that would play well at twice the price, which makes it a terrific value. The rooms are lovely and contemporary, the service is stellar, and the breakfast is delicious. Don't think twice--place your reservation at Santa Croce Boutique Hotel. I promise you'll be happy you did.
Santa Croce Boutique Hotel is a perfect respite in busy and beautiful Venice. Each room is decorated uniquely and the atmosphere is relaxing. The staff are superb especially Lucca (great recommendations for restaurants and other assistance) and Carlos (best bartender we’ve seen in a while). Our room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was ample and delicious. We loved the garden area for drinks. Venice is a truly unique and magical place—this hotel added to our delightful adventure here.
I thought the reviews might be exaggerating, but no, it was that good. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and well maintained. We stayed in one of the Suites, which was a very large, beautiful room overlooking the courtyard. There is a large steam shower behind the bed and a separate bathroom, both of which are beautiful. The room was quiet, and the air conditioning worked great. The courtyard - is beautiful and peaceful and currently has a small art exhibition from The Venice Biennale. Had breakfast out there in the mornings and from 5 to 12 in the evenings they have a small service bar for drinks with some light music playing. The bartender made really good drinks, and they give you some snacks with the drinks. Staff - The staff was truly amazing. Always helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make our stay the best. I had a birthday while there, and they bought me a small cake with a candle to celebrate. We left early on our last morning, and they had a takeaway breakfast box waiting for us to go. Breakfast - The food was great, and they will bring you made to order eggs / omelets and specialty coffee drinks upon request. You can eat inside in the dining room, or outside on the patio. Location - Santa Croce is one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city, and away from all the tourists, but only a short walk to the more touristy areas. There are a lot of good restaurants nearby and there is a boat landing on the canal right behind the hotel. Plus, it's a quick two bridge walk from the train station. Summary - Will definitely stay here again when we go back to Venice....which was amazing.…
