Though I just stayed one night, I was extremely attracted by its design, here I recommend to all asia tourists, this hotel will give you a really different experience. Antique furnitures, low-key luxury decoration, very kind host, etc... this hotel just like a well educated...More

His words honor us and fill the heart of Joy. Thank you very much for spending your time on it.
In the hope of having our guests still welcome. :)
My husband and I were in Venice for our honeymoon and Venice was our first stop. So, what we needed in the first place was a reasonable price. Antico Portego provided us with that and more. The location of the B&B is superb. The bus...More

I stayed 4 nights in this historical Venetian home, dating back to the sixteenth century, with hundred years old, stylish furnishing, but with modern comfort (private bathroom, TV, free WI-FI, air conditioning and heating, toiletries, hairdryer, refrigerator and a safe). I took the orange Alilaguna...More
Had a hard time finding a good place under 300 EU. This was a winner. Cool neighborhood, close to tons of great cafes, in historical Old Jewish neighborhood, and only a short walk to the vaporetta. The building was an old convent. Very Venetian and...More
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
