My family, husband, sons and girlfriend stayed at Campiello Zen for 3 and 5 nights respectively. This B&B is clean, well appointed and in a great quiet ( but not too quiet) part of Venice. We loved sitting in the Campo Giacomo nightly and watching...More
Excuse the terrible pun but just stay here! Amazing 16th century building and the room was equisite. Susanna is a genuinely wonderful host who will help to make your stay in Venice so much more enjoyable.
Campiello Zen is a beautiful B&B. The balcony is wonderful; it overlooks the street from on high. Flowers form a privacy screen and umbrellas provide shade. Breakfast on the balcony is a real treat. The rooms are large, the bathrooms well designed. Ours had an...More
What a wonderful hidden gem! Gorgeous rooms with such attention to detail. Andrea the owner was absolutely fantastic and provided us with great recommendations of where to go/eat etc. Cannot recommend more highly.
The setting was right out of an Italian movie...
The accomodations were terrific, the service was impeccable, the location was oustanding and we truly felt at home.
Like others, one of the best B&B experiences we have ever had in Europe.

Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture
universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighbourhood identity.
