We stayed for a week in February 2020 as part of a Crystal Ski holiday.
The hotel is well placed for the main chair lift (Cretaz) and the boot room is pretty good though it has an outdoor staircase up to ground level.

Our bags were transported from & to the coach car park at the foot of the town so we just had to walk up through the main street to the hotel.

The restaurant was very nice with ample breakfasts and 4 course dinners. The wine was reasonably priced (eg: we bought house wine at 14 euros a bottle) and the staff were all lovely. The dinners included a buffet starter, pasta course and main course with a buffet desert. They will keep an unfinished bottle for the next night.

Our room (106) was a 'superior room' in that it had a balcony but not a great view and it was on the first floor with the dining room on two sides and a car park just below so it was often noisy. The room was too hot for our comfort so we had to open the balcony door to reduce the warmth as there was no control for the underfloor heat. The shower was good though it was only partially enclosed and lots of water could escape into the bathroom if the flow was on full. It was not worth paying the extra money for in our opinion.

The hotel has fitness equipment always available and a small spa & pool open from 4pm and adults only from 6pm. We did not use the spa area.

The hotel bar is on the ground floor and was modern with reasonable prices.

At the end of our stay we had to have our luggage ready for transport the night before the flight so it could be taken down to the coach park for the early bus.

Our bar bill had one extra bottle of house wine on it. The receptionist rectified the error so we only paid for what we had drunk.

Really good experience, the location could not be better with the lift very close. We drove from Milan and the concierge could not have been more helpful finding a place for the car. The rooms are of a good size and very clean although the shower was almost comically small, if you are taller or wider than average, do ask about that because our friends had a very large shower space. The hotel has a repuation for a great breakfast and this is the case. Eggs, bacon, sausage, Italian cakes, breads, croisants, juices, lots of fruit, very nice coffee, perfect for a day in the mountains. The bar is nice too, If you like your red wine, the house is excellent.

Like most people in the 21st century, we book our hotels using the internet and we double-check the hotel's own website to be sure it was good enough for the price we were paying (expensive €360/night for NYE week).

At check-in, we were surprised by a rude passive-aggressive manager telling us we would be put at the old rooms because we had booked using Expedia instead of the hotel's own website. (that's not stated anywhere else on their page)

The wellness area is small and the swimming pool cold, there are only about 10 chairs for all hosts.

The ski room looks good until you look closer, the Helmet and Boots hangers are decorative only and are never turned on, leaving you with cold and wet gear for the next day,

Our bathroom had almost no light and when we closed the shower curtains we had to bath in the dark (unbelievable, please see my posted pictures)

I'm still shocked by how rude the manager and some staff member were playing the blame game on hosts for not using the hotel website, he said we should never use hotels/expedia/whatever and that if we do, that's the price we'd pay.

We are a group of 5 and spent 8 nights at Europa. My girlfriend and I paid premium for a better room but we ended up having practically the same room as our friends. Disappointing!!....and the bathroom is tight for space and has an acrylic/plastic bathtub which is not preferred by any of us.

On the plus side the common area is spacious and the evening dinner has a generous spread of vegetables for anti pasti which you can have as a salad buffet on it's own for €15.

The hotel has it's own ski rentals and ski and boot room which is convenient. It has to be said that the hotel is 100m walk to the lifts and good number of restaurants nearby.

So we rate it 3.5 simply because the room and bathroom is a big let down. One last thing....ear plugs will be helpful as the snow plough starts at 5.30am after a heavy snowfall!

Firstly, it is important to note that the front line staff at this hotel were fantastic; eager to please, courteous and extremely friendly.
Sadly, their efforts were not reflected in the kitchen, whether that was due to budget restrictions or lack of skill is open to debate.
Despite Covid restrictions, which made breakfast a slight shambles at times with long queues developing at peak times for hot water, juices and hot food, there was a plentiful supply and a reasonable choice.
Come the evening, however, and the food was generally awful - certainly nowhere near restaurant standard with some served lukewarm. During the week we were there it became apparent this was a common ground for complaint and led many, including ourselves, to eat out the majority of the week - galling when you have already paid for half board!
The hotel is modern and generally clean. Sadly our two twin rooms (described by Crystal Ski as "superior") were basic and rather depressing, the dark green painted walls, ceilings and internal doors doing nothing to lift the ambience of the dimly lit rooms. Whoever chose the colour scheme should be sacked!
The boot/ski room on the lower ground floor, which also housed a small gymnasium, was clean and modern with an excellent locker system. Next to this was the hotel's ski equipment hire (run by a pleasant, helpful young man). Equipment, while limited in choice, was of a good standard.
Positionally, the hotel was an easy 5 minute walk to a four and six man lift so reaching the slopes was simple.
Sadly, while this was an enjoyable ski holiday, the lasting memory is the poor evening food. Better food and an improvement in the dark bedrooms would have meant our review would have been more positive.

My friend and I stayed at the Europa at the end of February 2020 on a 1 week Crystal ski holiday. It is an excellent hotel that is only a short distance from both the Cretaz ski lift and Cervinia’s high street. It is a modern hotel with up to date facilities. The restaurant offers a buffet breakfast with hot and cold options. Dinner is a buffet salad bar followed by a 3 choice starter, 3 choice main meal followed by a buffet desert bar. All staff are friendly and efficient. Rooms are a good size and are well maintained and clean. The ski room is very high tech offering helmet, gloves and boot warmers. You will not be disappointed if you choose this hotel.

Hotel Europa is a very comfortable and exceptionally well run hotel that offers great value for money. Our pre-trip enquiries were answered promptly and efficiently by Frederica who also recommended a local taxi company for our transit from Milan Linate. The hotel is well located at the top of the main high street and a few minutes walk from the ski lifts. It appears to have been recently refurbished throughout and is reasonably modern and very clean throughout. There is an in-house Rossignol ski hire shop and probably the best boot room we have come across, with individual heated lockers for all your gear. The bedrooms are comfortable, if not a little snug, and would benefit from temperature control as well as a few hooks to hang sweaty ski kit and maybe the odd drawer. There is a well equipped spa/gym in the basement with a sizeable pool and sauna; the steam room is currently closed for obvious reasons. What sets this hotel apart however is the people, as it is run by a great team who are all always friendly and willing to help; stand-outs are Ben, who runs the restaurant with great charm and humour and Simone who manages the bar. Would definitely recommend as a great place to stay in this wonderful resort.

We stayed at this miserable hotel over New Yr. We paid extra for an upgraded room for the sole reason that it came with a bath which I feel is very important when you are skiing all day. However sadly the bath was totally un-usable since the water pressure was so low that it took three hours to fill up by which time the water was lukewarm. I brought the problem up on day one and two days later supposedly a plumber visited our room and reported that there was no problem with the bath which is clearly just pathetic.Despite requesting to speak the manager at least three times the manager made no attempt to contact me whatsoever. Is a great shame since the staff at the hotel were very helpful but clearly let down and embarrassed by a pitiful management. So my advice is to avoid this hotel like the plague since management clearly don’t care about their customers

Yes. It's good for family with children. I visited with my two children age 11 and 8. We engaged a skii instructor from a skii school facing the skii slope. The instructor trained and brought the kids up the chair lift and skiied downslope with them too.

Hi, The hotel has a deal with a ski hire about 100 metres away. They offer a 10% discount as you are staying in the hotel. The nearest lift is 100 metres away. Its very obvious as its towards the slopes, and can be seen from the hotel entrance
