Stayed here for a week over New Year.
Overall excellent experience and reflective of the positive reviews I read before booking. The room was very clean and daily maid service. Bathroom lighting could be brighter so maybe think about taking an illuminated travel mirror.
Location – great for easy walk into the town centre (4 mins), supermarket (3 mins)
We took advantage of the regular shuttle bus to the main gondola which you have to do as walking up the icy hill in ski boots is a non-starter. It was a great service running whenever you need it, we had to wait 5 minutes as a maximum and the driver was just so friendly and helpful. At the end of the day you just ring up when you are at the gondola station and in 5 minutes the bus is there to take you home. It’s a five minute ride at most.

I’ve saved the best until last – the restaurant. A great breakfast everyday is available buffet style, hot and cold offerings plus decent bean to cup coffee making facilities. On our day of departure we had an early start so the restaurant opened at 5.30am just for us. Now that is customer service.

The evening dinners were superb with four courses, a great cheese board and a reasonable and extensive wine list. The staff are exceptional and they made me and my daughter feel totally at home from the moment we arrived. Salvatore is the head waiter and he is a gem. We had real fun as each night he guessed what we were going to order from the menu and his success rate was scary.

Cervinia is a great resort which I will definitely return to and when I do I won’t even bother looking for anywhere else to stay.

I just loved this hotel. It’s not a big fancy 5 star hotel but I just loved it. The staff are super friendly, and I’m not one that goes out of my way to meet the staff, they just are so helpful. From the reception who got my phone sorted to the head waiter and waiters to the mini bus driver. You are never treated as too much bother, or you don’t look important. The hotel does have a sauna but I forgot my costume so can’t tell you what this was like. The hotel serves breakfast and 4 course evening meal. Breakfast is the usual assortment of ham eggs cheese croissants but also does have bacon and scrambled egg. I had the yogurt and fruit. The 4 course evening meal is selected from a menu and has waiter service and the onion soup or lamb chops were delicious, the deserts even more so. But what sold it for me is the ski room and mini bus. Yes the hotel is a 10 minute uphill walk from the slopes, but you can take the mini bus for free.you lift you skis and boots ( warmed from night before) clamber into the mini bus and delivered direct to the slopes. Then when you come off the slopes at anytime of day bring the hotel and they send the mini bus for you. There is a lovely lounge so you don’t on days where just tired and came off slopes early you can sit and watch the snow falling whilst warm inside, rather than stuck in your room. I ordered a drought beer and it’s brought to your chair, but then they bring a wee surprise of olives , small pizza slices and other snacks. Just superb, you are treated like you are in a 5 star hotel. I stayed in a single room so can’t account for the larger rooms but it was lovely and warm, great overhead rain shower, lots of wardrobe and drawer space, clean bathroom with robe and towels. The room has sky TV (although Italian) but I was able to watch champions league games albeit in Italian. The wi-fi is great and I did get matches on my mobile phone from Bt sport but it was pretty patchy, hence the sky TV. The mini bus is free, the TV is free, and there is a lift to take you upstairs. You don’t have to pay for boot and ski storage at the slope as the ski room will hold it all for free. All in all a great small hotel with everything you’d want.

Having stayed at Edelweiss many times over the last 25 years, it is delightful to find after a two year Covid induced absence, it is as fresh and welcoming as ever.
The family run hotel with its hard working staff produce wonderful food, served with a cheerful professionalism. It’s necessary to ski hard to burn off the calories!
Whilst my taste and budget for wine is simple, more learned friends tell me the wine list is impressive and well considered.
The rooms and facilities are clean and comfortable, village facilities nearby, and the hotel’s minibus to deliver you the short distance to, or collect you from the ski lift is never more than five minutes wait.
In short, I heartily recommend this excellent hotel.

This is a lovely traditional family run hotel with really friendly staff. The food is excellent. They have a display of the food on offer each night which they explain to you, this helped us gauge portion sizes. Excellent wine list at reasonable prices. They also provide canapes in the bar or lounge if you go down before dinner.
The mini bus service offered by the hotel was a fantastic start to the day. In the evenings we always skiied down into Cervinia and walked back to the hotel. The driver even took us down to Valtournenche on one day when the lifts in Cervinia were closed due to wind.

We stayed here via a ski company. The hotel is excellent value for money and all the staff are exceptional, friendly and contribute to the experience of your stay. The food is plentiful with good choices each evening, including cheese board. As stated on an earlier review you get snacks if you order a drink in the bar. Lots of wine choice on offer. The wellness centre is a treat especially after a hard days skiing, you can also book a massage for extra charge. The transport to the lifts is great and on return just ring the hotel and they collect you. Just book it you won't be disappointed.

The Hotel is situated about 5 minutes away from the lifts and a driver was on hand to take and collect us each day to and from the lifts. The rooms were spotless and cleaned every day. The food was good and the waiters were very friendly and helpful. I note that a previous review mentioned a bad smell. This is an old hotel and I think that the smell was as a result of a change in weather and it was only inn the lobby. Not in the room. I noticed it once as the weather changed and then it was gone. Don't let that comment put you off . Overall a spotlessly clean, friendly hotel. I would certainly visit again and am just sad that the resort has now had to close for the rest of the season. FIngers crossed we can go back next year.

Having read previous reviews we already knew what was to come but having stayed here ourselves everything exceeded our expectations. We arrived late evening and pre anticipated we would struggle to eat an evening meal on this night, when we landed I rang the hotel and explained our situation and with no questions asked the reception organised a plate each to be left out for us on arrival that evening. Car parking was free and no problem at all to find. Rooms were very spacious, beds were ultra comfy and the showers were very good. Spa was 5* , very clean and the lovely spa lady was always on hand to help with anything we needed. The Private shuttle bus was very handy and gave us the option of either the gondola or chairlift, adding to this Aldgo the hotel puppy helped the driver drop the guests off every day which added to a great family experience. Food yet again exceeded what we thought, very nice and different options every day from a full menu. On conclusion we have been coming to Cervinia for a couple of years and would certainly recommend this hotel, we will defiantly be re visiting next year.

I travelled in a group of family and friends, we were all so pleased with the hotel in all respects. The food was superb with plenty of choice (including for coeliacs) , it was the best food I have ever had on a ski trip, especially at dinner. The staff were very friendly and the transport to the lift was very efficient. The location is great for the village, just a short walk for apres ski, however the lounge was cosy and drinks were served with pre-dinner snacks. Rooms were spacious and clean. Overall despite being a older building, I cannot fault the hotel and would definitely visit again. I would prefer this to the White Angel where some of the family stayed, as the food standards had were not as I had experienced a few years ago when it was first offered by Crystal.

We stayed in Edelweiss in Mar 22 and booked again (with Crystal) for Mar 23 because we enjoyed it so much. This is a fantastic hotel, basic double room but kept very clean and lots of hot water for post skiing recovery! The hotel is small and family run and it shows. All the staff are exceptionally friendly and will go out of their way to be helpful. Breakfast is self-serve with a real coffee machine and the evening meals are 5 course run on a restaurant, served basis expertly led by Salvatore and well trained young staff. Some meals are nicer than others but overall absolutely nothing to moan about at all. Nice lounge area with very reasonable priced drinks so all good. If small and friendly is what you are looking for then you can’t go wrong with this hotel. We’re reasonable skiers in our 50s and bought the local lift pass (which is what others have previously recommended) and planned to upgrade for a day if we decided to go to Zermatt (although we didn’t ski there this year). We love the Cervinia ski area and there was plenty to keep us occupied for a week. Saturday was noticeably busier with locals (understandable) but other than that it was well-prepared, uncrowded pistes and sunshine skiing. We had one windy morning (wind often gets commented upon at Cervinia) which meant only a lower section was open but again this was fine and not that crowded. The Zermatt connection was closed for the first 3 days due to a lot of snow and wind but if you really want to ski in Zermatt probably best to stay there 😀. The hotel provides transport to the lifts which works well although we routinely walked back from town after a couple of post-ski beers; it’s not far at all and downhill; if you’re worried about getting to/from the slopes then don’t be, it’s all very easy whether you walk or use the minibus. Finally, Crystal use the ski hire shop opposite the hotel which is convenient but we didn’t find them very friendly last year. This time we got a great deal through Alpinresorts and rented skis from Cervinia 2001 in the centre, less than 10 mins away from the hotel. They were really friendly, much nicer than the previous place, and so are thoroughly recommended.
Finally, credit to Crystal Ski. We commented last year that the airport organisation, particularly on arrival was a little haphazard, but this year everything was much better with proactive reps at the airport and noticeably more signage directing you to the buses.
Overall, there is nothing not to like about this hotel, town or ski area. We’re planning to come back again in 24!

Went to this hotel in February, I really enjoyed the say, only 2 minutes walk to the centre and a free shuttle mini bus to and from the cable car, which is handy. Good food. Very clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff.

Nice spa with Jacuzzi, Turkish bath, sauna and relaxing area, as this is a small hotel we always
found the spa quiet.

Room was clean and we had everything we needed.

The pictures on trip advisor don't do this hotel justice. Better pictures on booking.com

I would go back to this hotel.
