This is our 3rd visit to MON REVE. As before it didn't disappoint. The staff are friendly helpful and always keen to please. The rooms are basic but are spotlessly clean when you return from a day on the slopes. A great comfy bed and pillows. The hotel is sold on us as it's truly a ski in ski out. From the large boot room to the slope is 30 steps....I counted. It's a red run down to the first chair of the day and naturally it's a red back from above the hotel. Previous reviewer commented that it's exposed and not that easy on the return.....Have to say the run to the first chairlift is the same ... so if you mange down in the morning you will manage at the end of the day. Anyone with the most basic snowplough could manage!!!!!
The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the town. It's a 12min walk down and a 15min walk back. We didn't use it once last week.....regardless of no pavement and lots of snow. What better way to work away a great meal and wine in one of Cervinias fine restaurants. Appreciate not for everyone but to say it's "not an option" is ridiculous!!!!
We booked through Crystal as we have done for years and were in room 102 above reception and next door to 101 (Cainy65).... Apart from the swishing of the sliding doors now and again we had no issues. No noise from "drunk" staff.... We must be better sleepers!!!!!
Just like to thank all at MON REVE for a great week. Conditions to die for. See you all next year

This was our first trip to Cervinia, and it was difficult to understand exactly how it was set up. So we were very fortunate to have picked Hotel Mon Reve. It’s new, but built with a very traditional alpine feel to it. It’s right on the side of the piste so you can easily ski out in the morning. Even better, one of the chairlifts runs by so you can see it out the breakfast room window. So you know when the lift is starting up. Lift opening times seemed to be “flexible” during our week there. But if you ask at the front desk, they get an e-mail daily from Cervinia operations with opening info about the lifts - particularly the ones going over to Zermatt.

Our room was “big enough”, and everything was comfortable. Continental Breakfast was great with cappuccino on request. Hot breakfast was available for about 6euros if you wanted.

Francesco was great at the bar with beer and snacks, or coffee. And Ermano was fantastic driving guests up and down between the hotel and the main part of the town - thus negating the disadvantage of not being in the main part of town.

Ps. Definitely get dinner once at La Bricole. Excellent! It’s directly across the piste. Make a reservation!

My only wish is that Charlie (the owner) might add a hot tub somewhere to ease sore muscles.

What makes this little hotel lovely is their super helpful staff and the perfect location. They are situated on the top of the hill and as a result have panoramic views of the village below and the magnificent Cervino. The ski in and out is very convenient (intermediate ski level). The rooms were nice but very basic which is OK if you are coming for skiing. If you are planning to spend more time inside the room then you need to invest into a more expensive facility. Wi-Fi was good and the breakfast was nice. Cannot comment on the hotel evening atmosphere as we were mostly out and just used to return for the night. Excellent shuttle service down to town on request. One thing is to be aware. The walls between rooms are paper thin. You can hear the person next door breathing not to mention anything else. This made getting a good night sleep almost impossible because some people party until 2 am. The staff are not on site at night and therefore no one is overseeing the guests behavior. If you don’t mind noise then you’ll be fine but if you do, please take some earplugs with you just in case.

Stayed over the New Year week. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are lovely, comfortable and clean, ours had a great view of Cervinia.
The hotel is located on a red run , so not easy to access the slopes for beginners but Hermano will happily drop you in town at any time.
Breakfast is great, lots of choice from fresh fruit, cereal to eggs and meats and very attentive staff.
The staff were also great at recommending and booking restaurants for us as well as driving us there and back. A cosy bar with Francesco offering a warm friendly service too.
Had an amazing week in Cervinia and would definitely recommend Hotel Mon Reve.

The staff are super friendly. Breakfast was continental with lots of choice and the fresh fruit was a bonus. It is intermediate level ski to door and a good 20 minute walk down to town and uphill back, the staff are always happy to give lifts in the Hotel van anytime if you are feeling weary from skiing all day! A lovely gesture was a breakfast bag for our early morning pick up on departure day. There was plenty of hot water and our room had lots of storage, the Wifi isn't great in the bedrooms but in the downstairs communal areas it works better. There is an Apres Bar next to the hotel which plays music in the afternoon until about 6pm and didn't disturb us, it may if you want to nap late afternoon and you are on that side of the hotel. Didn't hear other people in the other rooms but we were probably lucky not to have noisy neighbours. Overall a great stay and would recommend this hotel.

A very good location, because you can get anywhere by ski and leave the hotel and start skiing straight away.

The fact that it is very high on a mountain is not a problem, because there is a free transfer which can bring you down, so you can access amazing restaurants. You can call it any time to get back. You can also ask them to help you return rented ski equipment , so you don’t have to carry it.

I have also lost a wallet and it was found by employee.

Stayed here for our annual New Year ski trip, as paying for Son and other half we opted for Cervinia with the expectation of being able to ski over to Zermatt in Switzerland, more on that later

Travelled with Crystal Ski, don’t normally do this as normally book everything myself but Crystal had the only rooms at the hotel Mon Reve available, usual faff at the airport, waited on the coach for over an hour before departing Turin as the rep had miscounted!!!

Hotel is on the hillside out of town, have 2 cars, a mini bus and a Defender to pop people back and forth into town, longest wait was about 25 minutes, walking back not really an option, has been snowing all week so roads are terrible as no real pavements and pretty steep trek

Everyone was friendly, just B&B which suits us, good spread everyday, then downstairs to the boot room and walk out and onto Red 3 and ski about 300 yards down to the main chair, skiing back was a lot different, very icy exposed slope to come down to get back to the hotel which wasn’t great for all our group, option is Blue 5 to the bottom, smaller chair up a short way, side step 10 yards then ski over in front of La Bricole restaurant across Red 3 and walk 20 yards back up the slope to get into the garage and the boot room

Ski pass worked out at 50 euros per day, then compulsory insurance for mountain recovery making it €665 for 2 people for 6 days, if full area pass wanted, extra €30 per day per person, or, pay €50 on the day you want to go over into Zermatt, which in our case only happened on the 1st day as deemed too windy and the lifts and crossing points were all closed, waste of money to get an all area pass as so windy will never use it!

Final gripe, the hotel is really noisy, we were in Room 101, over reception and the main entrance, the road outside, the bottle bank over the road and the next door room to the staff who kept us awake twice during the week as they were all drunk, Crystal getting the worst rooms again I feel!

Skiing in Cervinia is nice wide pistes, good for less confident group members to get miles under their skis, but also very windy as high up with the subsequent ice patches causing some issues on 3 of the 6 days

Great hotel. Simple, clean, great location, fantastic shuttle service. Most of team were excellent and helpful but a couple of them were off hand rude and sometimes unhelpful. This is a lovely cosy hotel but with a fire that didn’t work properly, blows out cold air and on a couple of occasions filled the lounge with smoke. It would get better to fix it than accuse guests of messing with fire and then propping door open and telling guest off for asking if it could be shut when smoke was gone. These may sound small things but many guests we talked to were disappointed with the attitude of a certain receptionist and barman. He said we had drank all our Prosecco, was rude and shrugged when we said otherwise. Perhaps a name on bottles. These peoples attitude are known to other staff! Both the drivers, the lady who serves breakfast and the other receptionists were great. I understand the owners also own love Cervinia. Fantastic place. Perhaps they could use the excellent service from there to help certain staff at Mon Reve. We made a point of not drinking or staying in the hotel in the evenings because of these people. Thanks for a good stay that could have been excellent.

We found this hotel unexpectedly as we were looking for a place to stay in our impromptu vacation, and what a find it was! The rooms are charming and well laid out, beautifully decorated in reclaimed wood, the location is superb with ski in/out access and great mountain views, and the bar and breakfast area are inviting and comfortable. However, the real gem were the staff! Friendly and accommodating, they all went out of their way to make you feel at home and provide best in class service. A 3-star hotel that provides a 5-star experience. We can’t wait to return!

Hi The resort is fantastic but as a learner the run back to the hotel is probably one of the steepest/narrowist in resort and is a true red run. it depends how your daughter progresses through the week and her confidence. I would nt let it put me off though as the run back to the hotel in the car is two minutes
