We spent two nights here. The patio, lobby, bar, and dining areas are warm and inviting. The owner helped us with bus schedules into town. There is a bus stop out front of the hotel which was very convenient. The owner shared several maps for wine tours, cathedrals, cable cars, and restaurants. The hotel was busy with many guests in...

I was pleasantly surprised at upscale and modern decor of Hotel Steinmannwald when we walked through the door. It does not give that appearance from the outside. It is a very nice hotel and the three of us women traveling thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was bright, clean and comfortable and spacious enough although the bathroom was a bit...

Where to start. It's motorbike friendly - positvely encouraged by the 2 owners. The garage is very spacious, clean and had a selection of tools in case of need (we didn't)! The only complaint about the food was....there was a lot of it ;-), but it was really great especially the pasta 1st courses. Excellent value for money. Centrally located...

Ok hotel, small rooms, but clean. Nothing extras in the rooms. Soundproofing, air-condition and sunblinds is very good! We got a balcony on our rooms. Free wi-fi in the rooms and free parking is great. The receptionist (i think he's a member of the family who ownes the hotel) was polite and nice, but spoke nothing beyond answering our questions.

We came to the Hotel Steinmannwald earlier this week on our tour through Italy, looking for a room. The receptionist said she had rooms available and we politely asked if we could see one of the rooms. She immediately became very hostile and accused us of trying to enter private property unauthorized. We quietly left. This receptionist has some serious...

We wanted to spend one night in Hotel Steinmannwald on our way back from Italy. I had a confirmed reservation (by e-mail) for one wheelchair-accessible double room with an extra bed and one double room with a baby cot. Upon our arrival the receptionist informed us in a very unfriendly manner that they had no baby cots at all. Never...
