We stayed at La Bussola for 4 nights in early September. The room was large and modern with lots of charm. The exposed heavy timber ceiling was nice and the view from the balcony was a fantastic overlook of the lake and the island. The King bed was very comfortable and anything you could want in a hotel room was... More

The hotel is run by a family, who also owns a large Dalmatian named Foxy, which gave it even a more family feel. The rooms were clean and modern and comfortable. The owners were very nice and very efficient. The best part was the location. A five minute walk, which was so pleasant, took us to the center of the... More

This hotel not only has a lovely location and attractive rooms, it has great management. We left an article of clothing there, and they were most responsive in helping us out of our problem. The jacket was mailed back to us and management replied promptly to our emails throughout the process. This was great service, and much appreciated. We'd be... More

We stayed here the night before we were to meet up with a bicycle tour. The hotel is a little dated but the room was neat and clean and the bed was comfortable. The reception desk folk were very pleasant. Foxy the Dalmatian comfortably hangs out in the lobby and strolls about when the mood strikes. The breakfast was good.... More

We stayed here as part of a tour group. The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk downhill to the lake and all the little shops and restaurants surrounding it. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel, and found the food very good, and the service good as well. Wished it had been warmer so we... More

We recommend this hotel highly and without hesitation. The management went out of their way to accommodate a change in our plans very graciously and efficiently. We hope to return very soon. The location at the edge of town is perfect and very quiet. The town can become a bit overrun during the day owing to the many tour buses... More

The owners of this hotel are German and can be a little curt when they deal with you but they seem to try hard and went out of their way to give us good service. Our room was on the front of the hotel & had aview of the lake and a balcony that was narrow but wrapped around the... More

The room we are assigned (#219) had a great view of the parking lot. If we wanted a view of the lake from the room the price would have been twice as much. Our room was $151 per night with breakfast included. The room was stark. I thought I had checked into a convent. No decorations or anything on the... More

The hotel is a nice three star hotel, good situation, the room was nice and proper, but the food and specially the service was lousy.. We had half board, the breakfast was good, but how about a good morning from the staf!! In the evening the food was banged on your plate...very rude. They were working hard, but a smile... More

The views from this hotel, in particular the restaurant balcony and from our superior room were quite beautiful, looking out over Lago Orta and Isola San Giulio. Our room had a small but "big enough for 2 people" balcony where we spent quite a few hours taking in the scene. The room was OK without being exceptional. It was more... More
