Warm welcome, attentive staff especially Francisco who courteously and patiently attended to a party of eight of us every evening. Beautiful marble floors, comfortable beds and great breakfasts. Perfect situation for sightseeing and shopping.

If you want to be in the centre of the city, with the duomo, the gallerie, la scala and all the shops within walking distance and yet you want a quiet hotel, then this one is the hotel for you. It is set in a little quiet side street off the main streets so it doesn't matter whether your room...

Hotel Manzoni is a classy elegant hotel in a great location. We were delighted that our room was ready when we arrived at 11:00 am. We had a lovely deluxe room with a balcony at the front of the hotel. Hotel Manzoni is within walking distance of the Duomo and the Vittorio Emanuele Galleria. The Metro stop Monte Napoleone is...

It has been a nice surprise to find such understated elegance and period style in the centre of Milan, in the middle of the fashion district. Courteous staff in all areas. A very good breakfast, an excellent restaurant and a fitness centre complement this excellent hotel.

This review is a little late, stayed here during December 2015 and absolutely enjoyed our stay. Tucked away on a quiet street the hotel was very located and the rooms and decor were lovely. Staff was polite and friendly which is always a plus. Had a comfortable and memorable stay and would consider returning!

Went with my wife for her 50th birthday. We had tickets for La Scala and intended to do some shopping. The hotel is very nice, good location in the fashion district. We rented a suite which had a nice terrass - just pity it was January :( Give it top rating - not a thing to complain about .

Pleasantly surprised on all accounts. Great hotel in great location within walking distance to all sights. Quiet neighborhood and quiet room. Classic hotel with beautiful marble staircase, hardwood, great mattress, etc. Staff was very friendly and helpful with the typical great Italian sense of humor. Breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel. Also - centrally located amongst top fashion shops.

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
