As there was 4 of us we stayed in two of the animal theme rooms in October 2012. The hotel itself was great, clean and well maintained. It was very reasonable price. The location was fabulous!!! Very close to everything. Street was very quiet yet super fast walking distance to everything you need to see and do. We didn't make...

My wife and I stayed here two nights.Absolutely perfect location for the Duomo and associated attractions. Very close to the Metro. This hotel is delightful for a stay in Milan and the standout feature was the assistance of the staff at the front desk. The lady whose name now escapes me was just so good. Brilliant English and just so helpful,...

I stayed here for one night on business and wish that I was staying longer! Great location, fabulous rooms which are very modern, clean and offer free wifi. I ate in the restaurant in the evening and thought both the service and food were excellent. Breakfast was a good buffet selection. Would definitely recommend this hotel

The location is excellent, near everything I wanted to see and do in Milan. The prices are reasonable for Milan and for the location. The rooms are very clean with a very interesting and pleasing decor. The...

Wonderful location but much more than that. Rooms were excellent, singles had balconies, great in Summer! Our twin room had the most fantastic lighting, also electronic shutters to block out light. Breakfast was good, great coffee machine! Location excellent for La Scala, Duomo, shopping, in fact perfect! Now the staff, SO, SO helpful, particularly Maria, nothing was too much trouble,...

Recently stayed at hotel Star. Less than 1km from Duomo, 100m from metro, bus and tram stops. Slightly quirky interior which we loved! Great staff, lovely breakfast, good room close to small restaurants and cafés, excellent value for money in the heart of Milano

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
