Turn left out of Milan Central station, only five minutes walk. Decoration looks slightly dated but pleasant welcome and clean and tidy. Less expensive than many other local hotels and excellent restaurant on sixth floor.

The hotel is very well located: it's near Milano Centrale train station, there are many groceries nearby and also a restaurant in the same building. The rooms are quite spacious, cosy and clean. The breakfast is mouth-watering, full of simple but delicious options of the Italian cuisine. The only negative point is that the temperature of the water varies a...

Stayed here for four nights and will definitely stay again for next time. Rustic ambience; a classic hotel with marble floors and clean carpets. I prefer this than soul-less modern chain hotels. Despite its 'classic' appearance, the halls do not smell of old carpets. It just smells very clean all throughout the hotel. Courteous and welcoming staff in reception and...

Booked two room for 2 nights . Hotel conveniently located near to MILAN CENTRAL STATION, and Corso Buenos Aires- shopping area; both approximately 5 mins walk. Clean and Big Room. As a Muslim, we could easily find halal restaurant around the corner. Good service. Would highly recommend

The overall design is a memory of a gloriuos past, at least in the lobby. The rooms could benefit of some renovation being at the border line where "vintage" becomes less poetically "old". The service is fine, with very professional staff.

I stayed one night passing by. The hotel is near the central staation. A big, old building. The room I had was small and a bit 'old fashioned', exactly what I expected in this hotels. The bathroom was big. The breakfast had plenty of choice, fresh fruit, eggs and sausages, nice coffee. Staff was professional but not really enthousiastic.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights recently, passing through to the Alps. The hotel was nice, staff were helpful and the location near the station was perfect. And best of all, the water pressure/hot water was amazing! The reason we didn't give 5 stars is mostly due to the fact I'm a light sleeper and even through...

The Andreola Hotel was very impressive. The room was well sized and had everything we needed - including a clean, big bathroom with great shower. Breakfast was superb, and had everything from pastries and bread to eggs and sausages. Staff are extremely friendly and willing to help. The location is great - 2 minutes from the Central station that connects...

Ok hotel near central station. Rooms comfortable, breakfast a little meager, not expensive, we had a street facing room, small balcony but nice to be able to open. Higher floors have serious wifi issues. Chose a room on the 1st floor if wifi is important.

I recently stayed two nights (not consecutive) at Andreola Hotel. I wasn't sure what to expect given the fact that it was located near the train station which I often associate as an undesirable location. But what a lovely surprise! It's an easy walk from the train station, very nice interior, the staff were very pleasant, and the rooms great....

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Andreola Central is one of the many historical 4-star hotels in Milan that opened at the same time the Central train station moved to its current location, originally behind the Spanish walls (currently Piazza della Repubblica). The hotel is located in Via Scarlatti, an extension to the Central train station's Galleria delle Carrozze which ends in Corso Bueonos Aires. Over the long and venerable years since its establishment, many VIPs have patronized the hotel: Fausto Coppi, the bicycle champion, prize-winning boxer Primo Carnera and Italian soccer stars during the sixties when the first player contracts were negotiated. ... more   less
