Nestled in the heart of a bustling area, Urban Hive Milano is celebrated for its prime location, with easy access to local attractions and transport. While the hotel's amenities, including a diverse breakfast and well-appointed rooms, are well-regarded, some guests find the extra charges for services like parking to be on the higher side.
Although the modern, clean rooms are a highlight, a few reviewers mention the beds being firm and occasional noise disruptions. The hotel's atmosphere and service are consistently praised, with many appreciating the stylish interiors and the staff's exceptional hospitality.

Detailed Reviews

My stay at The Urban Hive was absolutely fantastic. The location is extraordinary, nestled in a vibrant neighborhood brimming with stores and delightful restaurants. It’s the perfect spot to immerse yourself in the local vibe.
The hotel itself is chic and very modern, boasting impressive amenities that made our stay exceptionally comfortable. I particularly appreciated the water refill stations conveniently located on each floor – a thoughtful touch! Our room was impeccably clean and well-appointed with firm but comfortable beds, exceeding our expectations in terms of size. We booked “La Grande” room for our little family of 3. To our pleasant surprise, it even included dumbbells and a yoga mat, with ample space for a quick workout.
The bathroom was spacious and featured a lovely shower. The service at The Urban Hive was top-notch, with the reception staff always helpful and attentive. Breakfast each morning was perfect, providing a delicious start to our day.
The only downside was that our stay was too short! This hotel is truly a gem, and I look forward to returning on my next visit to Milano.

Hotel's Favourite
Hotel is located within easy walking distance of the sights of Milan, either one stop by metro from the station or 15mins easy walk. It’s in a lovely area with nice bars & restaurants.
The hotel has a lovely relaxed vibe, our room wasn’t large but was spotlessly clean, super comfy large bed, has all amenities of a modern hotel, powerful shower, coffee machine etc.., even had weights and a yoga mat.
Breakfast was included and it was outstanding in terms of both quality & choice. Freshly squeezed orange juice, choice of coffees, lots of fresh fruit, high quality bread & pastries plus small section of warm food, scrambled egg in mini casserole dishes were a great idea.
Staff friendly and helpful, would highly recommend a stay.

Although our stay was brief, I liked this hotel more than I thought I would (the photos on their website don't quite do it justice). The location is excellent (and for that reason alone I would happily recommend it or stay here again). It's perfectly situated in the safe and lovely Brera district where you can stroll and shop. There are plenty of nice bars, cafes and restaurants nearby (Eataly is also a short walk away). The hotel is clean and tastefully decorated with many nice offerings (i.e., water re-fill stations on every floor) and upscale touches throughout (i.e., scrambled eggs served at breakfast in individual Le Creuset minis). Breakfast was great. So was the front desk. A few things of note: The rooms are on the smaller side (not uncommon) and the beds were hard (also not uncommon for Italy; however, I still found this surprising for such a modern hotel). We could hear (quite a bit of) noise from other rooms and the hallway throughout the night. In general, the hotel appears to cater to foreigners and those on the younger side (there are co-working spaces and that sort of thing, along with a big time hipster vibe more reminiscent of something you'd find in the States).

I stayed at Urban Hive on three seperate occasions in August and September. I looked at reviews for many Milanese hotels, and the common factor was that their rooms were small and expensive. Urban Hive seemed to rate fairly highly so I booked my first stay and would book subsequent visits if I liked the hotel.
I loved it, and booked my second and third trips. Travelling on my own and trying to save money, I chose the single room. The bed was a comfortable single king and there was plenty of room to sleep, however no room to store a suitcase, and I had two. I chose the cozy double room for my last stay, and it was worth the extra dollars.
The hotel is effortlessly contemporary and chic. The staff all wonderful. And a massive shout-out to the breakfast team for putting together one the best hotel breakfasts on the planet. I won’t forget their perfectly prepared eggs and bacon, and exquisitely roasted cherry tomatoes.
I spent a few afternoons relaxing in the lounge and espresso bar in the foyer.
I loved the water on tap on every floor and room in the fridge.
The hotel has it all. It is situated in a lovely neighbourhood amidst boutiques and restaurants, close enough to the attractions while allowing you to escape from them, and the metro is 20 metres from the front door.
To everyone at Urban Hive, grazie! I’ll be back

We recently stayed at the Urban Hive during our stay in Milan. Not only was this hotel easy to get to from the airport & train station but it was located in a great location for some of the attractions.
We arrived before check in and the staff was super friendly and helpful. They offered to store our bags and provided a room/washroom for us to fresh up in before we headed out. They used WhatsApp to message us when our room was ready.
The rooms were modern, clean and had everything we needed. They also had water dispenser on the floor so we could easily fill up water bottles.
Would definitely stay here again.

This was my second stay here and sadly it was probably my last. Although the location is excellent and the front desk staff is thoughtful, the bed was so hard we barely slept. We had a “junior sweet” —their largest room, which was closer to a standard size hotel room than a suite. The bathroom setup in the suite was odd and lacked privacy—it consisted of two separate rooms, on opposite sides of the suite, both with glass walls and doors. The first room had only a toilet and bidet (no sink). The second room (on the opposite side of the suite) had the sinks and a tub/shower combo. There was only one hook in the bathroom(s) to hang towels and robes on. Ultimately, this is a “young” hipster hotel (perhaps better for the under 40 or under 30 crowd). It may be a less desirable choice for older travelers and/or couples prioritizing comfort.

We stayed in 2 x Cosy Doubles ( 1 for my husband and I and the other for our adult daughter)
From the moment we entered Urban Hive to the time we left, we felt welcomed by all staff. The reception staff were truly wonderful, so too were the wonderful staff in the breakfast room. Always greeting us with a smile.
We elected to include breakfast in the tariff and there were plenty of delicious choices and the barista made coffees were just perfect.
The lobby areas were cosy and I really loved the decor and vibe of the hotel.
Our rooms even though were classed as "Cosy", were very spacious and came with a yoga mat and weights. The bed was very comfortable and I really liked the addition of the Grown Alchemist bathroom products. Shower pressure was very good.
The location is perfect. Only a few steps from Moscova station which takes you to Milan Centrale in 3 stops. The quieter neighbourhood of Brera is filled with lovely little boutiques and eateries and its a lovely area of Milan to explore.

Extremely well managed facility with the friendliest employees I've experienced in 30+ years of travel. Excellent breakfast - deliciously prepared and exquisitely presented. The staff at breakfast tries to learn your room and knows your preference for cappuccinos by the second day. Front desk personnel are exceptionally helpful, quick check ins and check outs. Works hard to get dinner reservations.
The hotel is centrally located with a Metro stop 100 steps away. The Duomo is easily walkable (~20 minutes), as is Chinatown (< 20 minutes). There are a number of shops in the area.
Only downside is the room. Although its very clean and stylishly furnished, there is no dresser or chair. It's not a problem for a one-night trip, but problematic if you're staying 4 - 5 days as we did. Oddly, the room has enough space for both.

I'm going first with the staff. All very kind, smiling and caring. Young or old:) but all passionate.
Customers mainly business and foreign.
Space to work both in the room and in the common areas. New rooms, furnished in a modern way and comfortable beds/pillows.
The minus point is for some constructive criticism: attention to detail. Explanation:
- new shower but given the presence of limestone in the Milan water you should clean the shower head more often
- bathroom with bathtub, the fixed glass wall is uncomfortable. It's hard to get in and get to the taps. To fill the tub and turn off the tap you have to be a contortionist.
- in the bathroom a towel rail near the sink would be really useful
- garage and area C, if the customer does not know Milan and arrives by car, paying for parking to you, it would be good to immediately notify the payment of the ticket due to the municipality. I suggest to propose the service to pay it directly from the reception.
