I've been in Milan for Epiphany and sales. Ritter hotel is in a confortable position, 10minutes from Milano centrale station, near metro stop Moscova, bus and tram pass not far away from hotel. Room is clean but its furnishings are old. Bathroom is clean and with modern facilities. Room lacks electric kettle to make a hot tea for cold winter...

Good for a short stay, comfy bed, shower was small, nice breakfast friendly staff, would have been nice if they had a kettle in room, when you walk out plz turn right as this is the old town with lots of shops that go on forever, it is expensive with lots of security and police, the cathedral is a must,...

We only stayed here 2 nights, which really was enough. It's in a great location - nice walk to the cathedral or park, but if I was going to Milan again (which I doubt I would to be honest) I would choose another hotel. We were on the first floor so decided to take the stairs rather than lift -...

The location was awsome, we walked from Porta Garibaldi to hotel which is only 20 minutes. The neighboorhood is nice. Hotel is quite and very clean. The staff is friendly. The breakfast is good too, toast, egg, pastries and yogurt. I only needed a kettle in the room, besides that it is an excellent hotel for your money.

We spent 2 nights there. The room was very simple, but clean and tidy with quite new furnitures. The staff was very nice and helpful. I reserved the room quite early (4 months before our stay) and no problem occurred. I think the canteen was rather small and narrow for the hotel size, this was the only thing I did...

This hotel is adequate and good for the price. It is fairly well located with a metro station within 5mins walk. You can walk to central Milan (cathedral area) but this would take probably 30-35mins. The hotel rooms are sufficient but nothing special. They have what you would need and are clean. Breakfast was included and limited but enough to...

Hotel Ritter is a 3 star Hotel very nicely located in Brera. The hotel needs a renovation soon and the staff a training in customer service and friendliness. During our last stay our handbag with all passports, money etc. was stolen in the lobby. The receptionist was not willing to help us nor to show the recordings from the security-camera...

Hotel Ritter isn't in the luxurious category, or the deluxe category; but it is comfortable, conveniently located and clean enough. I wouldn't classify it as a Budget Hotel as the room rate is much higher than what I would pay for a budget hotel. For the price, it is excellent value and good enough for a 1 or 2 night...

My better half and I went to Milan for a city break and stayed at Hotel Ritter. In our opinion the hotel was a good choice. Located within walking distance of best, "must see" sites. Hotel looks dated, but is clean, well run and comfortable. Rooms are not cramped with good WiFi signal. Our room had a balcony overlooking the...

Staying in Brera

Neighbourhood Profile
Brera
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
