Hotel Milano Scala is a Green Boutique Hotel that combines sophisticated hospitality and eco-sustainability. We are the first hotel in Milan and one of the few in Italy with ZERO EMISSIONS, thanks to a heat pump systems that exploit geothermal energy and allow the reduction of CO2 emissions to the outside. Furthermore, thanks to highly technological filters that capture polluting agents, the hotel offers its guests a healthier indoor air quality, with more than 80% reduction of fine dust. Thanks to these two features, the hotel has been included in the prestigious National Geographic Traveller UK Earth Collection 2019, which brings together the 36 most eco-friendly hotels in the world (we are the only one in all Italy). We also have a panoramic terrace that offers a 360° view over Milan, where we serve refined green cocktails inspired by the products of the rooftop garden on the sixth floor (vegetables, fruit, aromatic herbs and edible flowers). The hotel is also inspired by classical and Opera music: the tradition of the Teatro alla Scala can be felt everywhere in the hotel, especially during breakfast, always served with a live concert of harp or piano. Our location in the heart of Brera district allows our Guests to reach the most important points of interest in Milan in a few minutes, both on foot and by metro, thanks to the proximity of 3 metro lines (Cairoli MM1 Red Line, Lanza MM2 Green Line, Montenapoleone MM3 Yellow Line).

We loved this hotel! We stayed for 6 nights here. First of all, the location is really great: we could walk to most of the places we wanted to visit, e.g., Duomo; Basilica Sant'Ambrogio; Chiesa di San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore; and Museo del Cenacolo Vinciano where one can see "The Last Supper" of da Vinci. The hotel provided us with a room with a full bathtab, which was really great. The room was quite large, clean, and modern. One of the best things about this hotel is that they have a good fitness center, which is relatively rare in Europe. Their breakfast was excellent too with various choices, and moreover they provided pleasant live music by harpists every morning! The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Getting a taxi was quite easy and fast (like within less 10 minutes after we asked the receptionist). We also liked their "green" policy; they are serious about energy efficiency and water consumption. We will definitely come back to this hotel next time when we visit Milan again!

A wonderful hotel in a prime location. We stayed 13th-18th September 2022 and couldn't be happier. A net zero carbon hotel close within walking distance of the big attraction with taxis literally 5 minutes away was a huge relief. The rooms were large, immaculate, clean and well designed with the bonus of a very big comfy bed. The front desk staff were very helpful to the non Italian speaking bits, taking the time to help with what ever questions were posed. The breakfast was a wide range of foods suiting all types including gluton intolerant people. There was even the soothing sounds of either a piano or harp to ease you into a hectic day of sightseeing this wo derfull beautiful city. The rooftop bar is wonderful, as were the staff who served and waited on us no matter how much we'd had to drink🤣. We decided that when we go back to Milan, which we will this hotel will be our residence while there.

The bed was very big and nice. The shower was good. The hotel was overall nice. There isn't much of a lobby area, but I think this might be common in Italian hotels. The bar is quite small and not open as you come in, kind of behind this curtain. I've no idea what it's like, I've never been there. We didn't use the Sky Terrace because I read on reviews that it was quite noisy beside the streets and also read online that the first drink could be €22, and then you get some food with it, which we didn't want. So we didn't look into this, and I do think it needs to be booked. The biggest negative was that there is no smart TV. The TV has internet and YouTube, but it doesn't work. Impossible to use it. So we had no Netflix or anything for my stay. And you couldn't cast either. So for non-drinkers, it was annoying in the evening to not have this. and the room was quite small. The size looks good on booking.com, but that's probably just including the hallway part of the room. It does have a good location but the nearest shop to get water was a 10 minute walk. Also surprised the room did not come with any complementary water. I am giving it a 7 because for paying 1,357 for 4 nights you'd expect a smart TV and a bigger room and a nice spacious lobby area.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Scala hotel from the moment we arrived till the time we checked out. The staff was simply amazing!! Upon our arrival at that hotel, a darling receptionist named Greta greeted us. We had originally booked a superior double room so we asked Greta that we wanted to upgrade to a suite, she as well as her colleague Mathjs quickly accommodated us to a suite with a gorgeous view!! They were both very professional and very kind by going out of their way to help when we needed anything. I would like to mention another wonderful staff member, Rod; I had a reservation at a restaurant not far from the hotel, he literally escorted me so I don’t get lost as I’m not good with maps and directions😔 I mean I’ve never seen anything like this before. Hotel had good breakfast with beautiful live harpist playing which was very soothing, what a great addition.
The Hotel is a great location within walking distance to the Duomo, the city center, not far from via Montenapoleone and of course the famous Teatro alla Scala.

I have stayed here on many occasions, and it is consistent. The rooms are comfortable and varied; they change quite a bit in size and shape. I was on a high floor this time with a walkway outside that leads up to the skybar on the floor above. Staff are helpful, breakfast is OK, albeit a bit boring because it has remained the same since the first time I stayed many years ago. The downstairs bar is no longer open in the evening. In past reviews I had commented that I thought it very expensive for what was on offer and that it was not frequented much. The skybar is equally expensive but one does get a great view of the city and it is open air.

What a lovely find in this part of the city. A very chic boutique hotel we had breakfast included and it was lovely with a live harp player each morning. So civilized in today's hectic world. We would definately stay here again as it is convenient to much of the city the Duomo, LaScalla (obviously) and wonderful resturants and shopping. Staff is top of their game.

We recently had our daughters wedding in Milan and approximately 23 rooms were booked by our guests at Hotel Milano Scala .
Matajis ,the hotel manager, fielded multiple phone calls constantly from all the international guests and always politely catered to the needs of each and everyone with such grace.
The rooms were wonderful and comfortable and the roof top bar was the perfect place for us all to hang out. Aperitivo on the rooftop was outstanding! The drinks, the food, the vibe , the view cannot be beat! We couldn’t have chosen a better hotel !
Breakfast downstairs was always fantastic. The variety in assortment of foods offered was impressive as was the service.
The location of the hotel also is perfect . It’s in Brera so it’s near the wonderful little cafes and boutiques and art school but also close enough to walk to the Duoma area, La scala etc.
Only note is if you are much older the bath tubs are high so getting in the shower( in the bath tub) may be challenging. It wasn’t for us but for my 85 year old parents we requested a handicap room with a shower and no high tub. This really is only an issue if you have mobility problems in which case request a special room like we did for my parents.
Last but not least I have to mention I have never been to a hotel where every single staff member is so courteous , friendly and helpful.
I almost don’t want to post this review to keep this little boutique hotel a secret so it’s not too hard to get a room next time we’re in Milan .
The cat is out the bag though. Just book there, you won’t regret it,
Thank you Hotel Milano Scala!!! I’ll never forget how amazing you all were and how the hotel was perfect in every way possible !

Superb Pension with lavish decor and truly professional staff. We organized our 10 years of wedding there and booked 7 rooms for 2 nights and organized an Event on the panoramic roof terrace. Everything really lived up to our expectations, everything went very well. Every detail mattered and the Pension staff were there to care. It was a real success and a huge thank you to Mrs Rossana and Mr Fonville for this organisation. We recommend this Pension without hesitation.

From check in to check out all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was well appointed, fair size and comfortable. It has a shared balcony and not something the we found very usable or appealing. The breakfast room and ambiance with the harp player was fantastic, but breakfast itself was very average and did not stack up for what the hotel represents. Location of the hotel is another bonus and anybody planning to visit Milan should consider this hotel - great option. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

This was our 3 time in Milan and we really enjoyed the location of this hotel. The staff were very helpful & polite and always available to help with any queries. Our room was spacious with a good bathroom & comfortable bed. Breakfast was a treat with an excellent selection to choose from at the buffet, the coffees & freshly squeezed juices were of high standard not just out of a bottle. Best of all was the harpist playing during breakfast creating the most amazing atmosphere, it was a lovely way to start the day. My only disappointment was the bar, with everything else being of a high standard it was lacking in customer serve & the quality of the cocktails and nibbles, it felt like it was rush through with very little care.

Really?
Is this a serious question that is going to make you decide whether to stay there or not?
Have you not thought of just emailing the hotel yourself or looking on their website.
It's nearly 6 months since we were there!
I think 7-10am
There are more places to choose from in the Milan area.
