First off the place is just ummmm well ok. I didn't expect much and I'm usually not picky but it was super hot and muggy in there. They will not turn on the air conditioning and they refused to give me a fan or let me borrow one. I was there for only one day thank you Jesus!!!! because I...

I chose this hotel for its proximity to the Milan Duomo. It is located along a quiet piazza just behind the Duomo. You're steps away from lots of shopping too. It is a modern hotel. Not a big hotel but nice and cosy. My only concerns were the extremely tight shower space. It was a challenge to shower when the...

We decided to stay in Milan for one night to catch a flight out of Malpensa the next day. We did not call to make a reservation until a few hours prior to our arrival. Giuseppe answered the phone and was extremely kind and helpful. I tried to speak to him in Italian and was able to communicate our needs....

Good location and good value for money I enjoed my stay in this simple but clean hotel. Rooms are essential but the hotel is located in the centre of Milan close to the Duomo and the University "Statale".

You just can not beat the location!!!! The hotel is just around the corner from Duomo, in the dead center of Milano. The staff were really nice and helpful. A covered parking is quite close as well so you won't have problems with searching for where to leave your car. Some people have complained about the size of the rooms....

Bed had torn sheets on it. No Air Conditioning. Asked for sheets to be replaced. Grump at reception asked for key which we left. Came back early evening to find sheets had not been replaced. Took photo of sheets. Finally got new sheets and helped him change bed. Fan in washroom very noisy. Spoke with manager on our departure who...

Hotel Nuovo was located directly behind the Duomo and close to great shopping, restaurants and many attractions. The hotel was clean, very small and the bathroom in need of a little work but fine if you are in Milan for a night or two.

I booked my hotel 12 hours before I needed to arrive and had to cancel due to inclimate weather into Milan. Contacted hotel in writing...Roberto the manager only works in the early morning hours to address my concern. NO ONE ELSE could handle this. Although there is a cancellation policy of 48 hours nothing about within 12 hours of booking...

... and that's the best thing about it. You really are in the heart of Milano and within walking distance to some of its main attractions. The palace is pretty from the outside, inside it's just a place to put your baggage, have a shower and sleep, but if that's ok for one night then it's a good and unexpensive...

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
