We had a room at the back of the hotel, described in the brochure as "mountain views". Well, yes, I guess so, also overlooking the delivery bay. But frankly it would not have been worth the money to upgrade to a room at the front or side of the hotel because we spent so little time in the room itself....

Hotel was very pretty and the rooms were nice but felt like we were the poor cousins. We came with a tour group so I guess you get the "un-reserved rooms" but our rooms overlooked the back lot which had a "staff area" so there was a bit of noise. One room had a nice balcony but the 2nd room...

We stayed three nights here. The room was a bit on the small side. The shower was really small. The staff was fine - some helpful but others not so much so. The restaurant and bar offer great meals. There is an indoor pool but we never had reason to visit it. Take time to study some of the art...

Good location, tired decor, good pool, good service, very poor breakfast and don't pay separately as 33 euros is ridiculously overpriced. Bar was a bi dated too. Did have free parking which was a bonus

This hotel has it all. The location is within an easy walk of almost everything, but quiet. Great views of the lake. The pool area is beautiful and convenient for a snack, drink or just to relax after a day of walking. The breakfast is good and the service is impeccable.

I had previously stayed a few times at the Bristol. I went back, but this time everything seemed from the reception staff too much trouble, my room was small and mediocre but clean. breakfast £16 euro a day extra and very poor value for money. but above all anything asked at reception seemed to be a trouble for them, on...

We did not get the room we booked but a so called upgrade. Which turned out to be a family room in the attic.. After making clear that we could not accept this, we got a decent room the next day. Wifi quality is not good, but the breakfast is fine. Good pool with cold water. But as soon as...

My wife and I visited with a Grand Circle tour, and stayed in a beautiful room on the second floor with a balcony that overlooked the lake, and the promenade along the lake where people walked at all times of the day. It is truly a grand hotel, in the old fashioned style of the rich travelers from Britain who...

We booked this 7 day holiday in Stresa (our first visit) through the travel agents Citalia a member of the TUI group. The Bristol is located in an ideal position almost at the end of the lakeside promenade which is a delightful 10-15 minute walk to and from Stresa town centre. It is an elegant hotel having an old world...

On a Riviera holiday base at this hotel which was exceptional and provided a perfect base for a great holiday. The hotel is comfortable beautifully presented and the service for the most part was of a high standard. For a hotel of this type and age our lake view room was quite large and well equipped and everything worked, the...
