Food was not very nice. Escalope a Milanese was full of oil, lasagne was dry. Service was not friendly at all and slow. Location was OK in a small quiet road away from the busy town sq. Town gets busy so best to book one of the better restaurants in advance.

Return visit to this hotel. Fab location just one street back from the lakeside. Catered well for 2 vegetarians in our party. Reception and dining room staff very friendly and helpful. Good air con, a must for the heat. My room had traditional furniture and overlooked the courtyard, had a balcony with a table and 2 chairs. Would definitely stay... More

We ate here one evening sat in the street area outside but didn't stay in the hotel itself. The food was OK, the meat sauce gnocchi was slightly lacking in meat but the lasagne was good. The service was fine.

We have spent here 5 nights with our 2-year-old. Thanks to the hotel, we had a very nice, pleasant stay in Stresa. The staff was very nice, and always helpful, even if not all of them speaks english. The only thing that was a little bit uncomfortable was the parking situation. The hotel is situated in a very narrow street,... More

We stayed here for business. We had a meeting at the convention center. The hotel was centrally located in Stresa, and it was a 5 min walk to the convention center. The hotel was one block off the main road and was a short walk away from many great restaurants and places to shop. The hotel was not modern, but... More

We literally ran into the first (second because the first was expensive) hotel that we saw and asked for availability and we were booked for a night! It's an old hotel but not lacking in high pressure showers, air conditioning and clean place. Almost everyone has been quite cordial and breakfast gives a brioche and fresh coffee (but you have... Several reviewers commented on the outside noise (church bells) so I was concerned. Yes, you can hear the chiming but it's not intrusive if the windows are closed (AC helps). Otherwise very quiet, relaxing. Location is great, right in the center of Stresa! Rooms are quite large, mine had a bath tub.

We thought that this hotel was brilliant, clean, efficient friendly service, excellent food, , ideally situated right in the centre of the town. We loved it, especially being situated right in the centre of everything made it a very special holiday location.
