Great experience from start to finish.

Our car was parked by staff when a space became available (who also kindly covered the parking charge for a few hours).

A genuine effort is made to make guests feel special.

The room that we had was beautiful with a private balcony overlooking the lake. One of the nights we bought a bottle of wine from a local enoteca and sat talking on the balcony enjoying the views and the tranquillity.

The roof top terrace is incredible - I just wish that it was open for more than 2.5 hours in the evening.

The breakfast selection is good, and staff are more than happy to help or to prepare extra items.

Front desk staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

Being picky, the only fault was with the cleanliness of the room. A few ring marks on the table from previous guests, and some dust on the bedside tables, suggest that the cleaning was not a thorough as it should have been, particularly during COVID times. Housekeeping came to revise, but still didn't use disinfecting cleaning products.

That being said, I'd stay here again without hesitation.

The property is perfectly located, seconds away from the ferry port and close to the centre of Bellagio.
The hotel is very clean and smells disinfected which is very assuring at a time like this.
The hotel is family run and the staff are extremely friendly.

The breakfast was incredible and better than I’d expected. Really wonderful buffet including a variety of meats, cheeses, breads as well as delicious scrambled eggs and bacon and so much more.

The bedroom we stayed in was lovely and clean. The bathroom was a little dated and not the same as in the pictures but it was still clean and had all the amenities listed. The room has a small balcony with 2 chairs which was a lovely surprise and it has a partial view of the alley and the lake.

The rooftop bar was also great but as expected the drinks are quite pricey.

The only problem I had with the hotel was the elevator. It was extremely slow and at times it was quicker to take the stairs.

We booked this Hotel after reading lots of reviews on Trip Advisor and it didn’t disappoint.
We had a lake view on the fourth floor with two Juliette balcony windows. This was a good sized room with a sofa and seating area and a smart bathroom with large windows but plenty of privacy.
The high ceilings give a feeling of space and airiness and the room was immaculately clean.
Breakfast is very well organised with a sensible mask policy when using the self serve areas but a very relaxed feeling when eating food.
Excellent selection of everything you’d expect of an Italian breakfast with plenty of pastries, continental meats. Decent coffee machine with plenty of options.
Eggs and Bacon,etc.
The outside eating area is perfect, having decent outside heating installed makes such a difference, nothing worse than opting to eat outside and then the chill of the outside temperature ruining the evening.
The food was excellent all round and the service was spot on, not over fussy but always a member of staff with their head up and eyes open looking out for customers.

You will not be disappointed!

Could not recommend a better hotel for a stay in Bellagio. We considered a Villa that was outside of the historic district which we thought may have been quieter but opted for the convenience of being closer to the Ferry and restaurants/shops. I am glad we did. The hotel is steps from the Ferry which allowed us to eat breakfast and leave for the ferry minutes before its departure (we purchased the tickets in advance). While the Ferry is steps from the hotel, we did not hear noise from the Ferry or from the street in our room which faced the lake/Ferry on the 3rd floor. Being close to the restaurants enabled us to easily go to and return from dinner without spending on taxis, which can get costly. As for the hotel, the rooms were nice sized, clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom offered a rain shower, heated towels and was clean and virtually new. The room had desk space and plenty of outlets. A full breakfast of pastries, cereals, hot food (eggs/bacon), yogurt and fruit is offered daily with a wonderful coffee machine making any type of coffee you would like. It never hurts having a great view of the lake while enjoying your breakfast. As for the front desk, they were eager to assist with providing information, calling a taxi when needed and even making excellent dining suggestions. It is rare you cannot find a complaint about an accommodation but I was unable to find one. The price of the stay was reasonable and the accommodation excellent. It is not a large hotel like the Serbelloni in Bellagio with expansive gardens but I preferred the smaller hotel with the personal service. Would highly recommend.

This hotel, perfectly located in a central location directly on the lake, has that personal touch with outstanding service that I have not experienced in years. All of the staff knew us by the second day, and the front desk helped us with everything from meal reservations, activity reservations, and travel arrangements. Even the serving staff were delightful.

The rooms were incredibly spacious with nice bathrooms (which always make a hotel feel special), and each of the 2 rooms my family had had an incredible view of the lake.

Each morning we lingered over breakfast, which was a reasonable buffet, because the room was nicely set up with views of the lake. On nice days you could sit outside to enjoy it.

We sometimes finished our evening with coffee, pastry, or drinks at the outdoor cafe.

I’d definitely stay here again. It was a pleasure to have such service, and the location could not be best.

Genuinely couldn’t recommend this hotel more, my partner and I stayed for 4 nights this week and absolutely loved it. It was our first time staying in/around Lake Como and from recommendations online it seemed Bellagio was the place to be. The hotel was less than 100 yards from the ferry and right in the centre of Bellagio. Location couldn’t have been more perfect, surrounded by beautiful boutique shops, cafe’s, restaurants and obviously the lake itself!

Our check in was very quick and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Staff throughout our stay were brilliant, always smiling and happy to help with anything.

Room was spotlessly clean and was cleaned every day with new sheets, towels and complimentary still/fizzy water bottles in the mini fridge. Lovely balcony with views over the lake.

Breakfast was lovely and you could sit on the balcony overlooking the lake which was just fantastic. Good range of food, particularly lovely pastries and fresh fruit salads!

Last thing I feel you can’t go without mentioning is the rooftop terrace which during the day we took used to relax on a sun lounger with a book (it’s impossible not to relax with those views!) and in the evening when the bar opens to grab a cocktail and watch the sunset.

I will definitely be recommending this hotel to our friends and family. We travel a lot, particularly around Europe so can say from experience that it’s hard to get fantastic service in such an incredible location for this price. We’ll definitely be back!

A perfect mix of old world charm and modern cleanliness infuses a romantic luxurious feeling in the hotel. The location and rooms somehow made all the better by the staff who were always gracious and accommodating. From early check in to travel assistance, the staff were prompt, friendly and embody the generosity of spirit that sets great hospitality apart from ordinary. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I cannot wait to return.

First time at Hotel Du Lac and have nothing but praise for it. Superb location right opposite the ferry terminal booking office. Spotlessly clean and comfortable room - beds extremely comfortable and we were offered a choice of pillow - memory foam, hypoallergenic or feather. The TV in the room had BBC One and Two and a couple of other English channels which we appreciated. The staff were ALL amazing, professional but friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was superb with loads of choice. Lovely rooftop terrace with a bar open in the evening to watch the sun go down. During the day there were plenty of comfortable sun lounger/chairs if you just wanted to sit and read a book or gaze at the stunning lakeside, mountain views. The al fresco bar at the front of the hotel serves inexpensive cocktails and very well cooked delicious meals. Overall the hotel is exceptional value for money and the staff help make your stay memorable. Cannot fault it!

The location is perfect, in the heart of bellagio right by the boat. The hotel is fantastic! The pictures dont do it justice. The quality of the rooms and reception are incredible. The family who run the hotel go over and above to make your stay special, nothing is too much trouble, they really add value. We had an incredible room overlooking the lake, I highly recommend the extra spend to do this. Every morning I woke up mesmerised. The pool was closed however the family kindly let us use it anyway, there was no service but we took some drinks and had the pool and tennis courts to ourselves.
Just the most amazing trip. Bellagio is the place to stay, so many restaurants and shops and the centre of the key towns for boat trips. Also if you are worries about COVID, the staff at the hotel and all around wear masks, it's really quiet there so adds to the beauty of the place and the businesses are so grateful for your custom. Also the food is top notch in Como. Best italian food i've ever had.

First time visiting Lake Como! There are many options but we decided on this hotel because of the central location on the Lake and Ferry system right out front of the hotel. You can hop on a Ferry and visit any of the other towns, find a water taxi or tour or take a stroll to the beautiful gardens along the lake. Since it was our first visit and we only had 2 days, we preferred being near the shops and restaurants. The day time was buzzing but at night, it quieted down after all the tourists and tours left for the day. (after 6pm)
The views are incredible from the front balcony rooms and roof top bar. We met many travelers, which to us, is a fun activity when we travel. The staff from the front desk, housekeeping and breakfast servers were friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and they still have turn down service, which is a nice touch for the fair price of the location and amenities, we think Hotel Du Lac is a great find and option while visiting Lake Como.

We had 2 balconies so used those to sit in the sun. There is a lovely lake facing terrace which could be used during the day to sit (it becomes a bar in the late afternoon) but it’s not like a pool deck.

I would suggest you do some research, Milan Malpensa Airport has an express train to Milan Central. Then you can get train from Milan to Como, then ferry to Bellagio.

no, Bellagio is a small place, parking can be an issue. most people get to Bellagio by ferry. We took train to como, then ferry to Bellagio was a pleasant experience, took photos of those beautiful towns, houses along the way.

No need for a bus. Train from Milano Centrale to Varenna, then 15min ferry to Bellagio.
