Thanks very much to the Front of House Manager. Your positive, pleasant and helpful attitude, along with your warm welcome helped make our stay even better! The hotel was spotlessly clean. It was well organised and faultless really. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Room and bathroom were amazing.

My wife and I honeymooned in Italy and stayed at the Piccolo during our Portofino stay. We considered the Splendido, which is beautiful, but had a great experience at the Piccolo -- and saved enough Euros for several bottles of great wine each night! The hotel really has a perfect location on Portofino... high enough that you have a pretty...

The location of this hotel can not be faulted it is a 4 minute walk to the Centr of Portofino along a lovely scenic path. We had a superior room with a balcony with the most glorious view you could with for, however the rooms and the hotel lacks style. They are very modern which does not reflect the hotels...

We stayed for 4 nights in a sea view room. We had a large balcony with loungers and table and chairs. The bedroom was big with a sofa as well as bed. Theres a decent sized fridge which as space for you to put your own stuff in which I recommend otherwise you will be paying 5 euros for s...

let's start with the obvious: Portofino is not a cheap place to stay and this hotel is no exception. We had a premium room with a fabulous view of the small bay and from that point of view it was excellent. there were however some areas for improvement for a hotel of this quality and price. There are no public...

Everything was perfect. The location is the best if you want to stay in Portofino. Large and clean rooms (I got one with an amazing view), very helpfull and friendly staff, excellent breakfast, with a private beutifull beach in front. And it was the best price I found in Portofino. No complains.

This is the Perfect location on Portofino. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The view is spectacular and the private beach Justin front of the hotel is charming. We can reach Portofino very easily, only 10mn walking.

Someone posted a negative review titled "Underwhelmed and Overpriced..." and I honestly could not disagree more. If you don't like being near a road and want something more budget then Portofino in peak season is definitely not the place for you. We went just as season was starting (end of April and it cost us £15 than all the other...

It was all perfect. The friendly and helpful staff, the place we stayed, the breakfast .... It's a good place to start the trip to the "Cinque terre" and other nice places in Italy. Portofino is quite near and very nice.

We were here a few days ago for one night and we loved the location of our hotel! Our room had a perfect view of the little bay and had a nice little balcony for us to have some wine on! The room itself is pretty cozy- comfortable bed, slightly smaller bathroom- but overall pretty great! I cannot disagree more...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Piccolo Portofino is located in a privileged position, set on the slopes that characterize this exclusive stretch of the Ligurian coast overlooking the Gulf of Tigullio. During the sixties this location became very famous thanks to the protagonists of the star system, the nobles and aristocrats began to populate this fascinating locality to enjoy its exclusive parties and its fantastic scenery. The town of Portofino has remained unchanged all over the times, beautiful to live and to see as well. Hotel Piccolo Portofino, surrounded by the typical luxuriant vegetation of the Liguria Riviera, among the crystal clear water of Portofino and the blue sky, is a piece of art of the reception, unique of its kind. A hidden jewel, that has to be searched end discovered. Obtained from a refined period villa, today it is a boutique hotel, and from its generous terraces a breathtaking view onto this exclusive stretch of coast can be enjoyed. Inside, the contemporary design plays on strong contrasts, with combinations of marbles in white and black, and red velvets, crystals and soft fabrics. The set offers sensations of a refined, exclusive equilibrium and a romantic intimacy. Feelings that find their highest expression in the only 23 rooms of the hotel. Here, among all the comforts suited to the modern traveler, the contrasts are reduced, giving way to the softness of pastel tones, the whiteness of beds and enveloping pillows, to the transparency of the curtains behind which the gaze is lost onto the renowned beauty of this location to emphasize the stunning surrounding landscape A superb touch of exclusivity is added since this year to the range of services which Hotel Portofino is proud to dedicate to its guests. Just five minutes from the Hotel there is the legendary Piazzetta of Portofino, for a walk, a coffee or for a moment of pure relax . Or for shopping in the renowned brand stores ... more   less
