My husband and I enjoyed 2 nights at the Eden. This hotel is owned and run by a lovely gentleman and has been in his family for generations. Our 2nd floor room was spacious and clean with a comfy bed. Breakfast on the terrace included traditional Italian meats and cheeses, hard boiled eggs, breads and pastries and a perfect cappuccino made by the owner. A minute or two walk to the heart of town where we had several great meals and an afternoon glass of wine. Be sure to hike up to the church on the hill, so beautiful. I would love to stay at Hotel Eden should we return one day.
Great Location in the heart of Portofino but beware parking is very expensive. Run by a strange bit likeable elderly couple. Accommodation was just ok - the bathroom was a windowless cell. I wanted to visit Portofino after seeing it in pictures but wish I'd never bothered. Overpriced, full of people just wanting to be seen, not a lot to do and you cant get down to the sea. Won't go back.
Simple but good small hotel very close to the little harbour. Very nice breakfast space in the beautiful garden ( see attached image. Also near the one Parking house in Portofino. The have reasonable prices.
This location is great and central in Portino. It is about 200meters from the large public parking garage. The garden is huge and the staff is great. We did not have a reservations but got the last room in the place please go here it is the best. I am going back for sure.
The hotel is well situated in the heart of the village. Run by husband and wife only, to our knowledge. The room was ample, size wise but a little tired and out of date. Tea and coffee facility but no milk. Air conditioning fixed at 24 C and on a timer so you wake up hot in the night. Breakfast included in 250 Euro per night cost, sufficient continental but you are only offered one coffee. It's obvious that the owners are trying to squeeze every drop out of the business. Expensive but not in relation to other hotels in Portofino. No lift and lots of stairs/ steps to cope with so hard work carting suitcases. The hotel is however right in the heart of the port and has a lovely quiet garden. I am unlikely to visit Portofino again in the near future but while knowing the downside I would still be happy to stay there again.…
