The two owners of this hotel are amazing, they could not have been more helpful to my wife and I on our honeymoon stay. They upgraded our room to a honeymoon suite with a beautiful balcony looking out at the water and the center of the town. They also helped us to book restaurants on short order and did it all with an amazing attitude and smile on their faces. Breakfast food was delicious and delivered to our patio for us, we wish we could have stayed longer!
The Hotel Villa Steno gets five stars for so many reasons! The combination of the location at the start of Monterosso al Mare and parking at the hotel is terrific. The rooms with balconies looking out over the town and sea are very, very nice. The owners and staff are so friendly and helpful. And the breakfast is wonderful. I highly recommend Hotel Villa Steno!!
This was our favorite hotel during our stay for so many reasons. Amazing hosts, (Mateo and his lovely wife Carla), impeccably clean, large rooms with views of the town and ocean, nice breakfast on the terrace and close to restaurants. Mateo has obvious pride in his establishment and it shows from the first confirmation email, to check-in through check out. He could not have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful. I saw him him speak 4 different languages as we checked in. Our stay was perfect and we would recommend Hotel Villa Steno to anyone. Don't forget to check out the panoramic view from the terrace just above the hotel. Hotel also has small parking lot which was perfect for us. A wonderful place run by nice people.
With so many positive reviews, I'm not sure they need another, but my wife Kimberly and I stayed here for 5 days last week, and it was one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had anywhere. Perched on a hill in the beautiful "old town" section of Monterosso al Mare, the comfortable rooms in this boutique hotel offer a charming view of the town and the sea. The staff and the managers are genuinely warm, inviting, and make an extra effort to see that their guests are taken care of, informed of the latest sea, weather and hiking trail conditions, as well as recommendations for restaurants and other sight-seeing ideas. There are many choices for breakfast in the morning, and one can always get a glass of wine in the afternoon if you like. We can't imagine being treated any better.…
Matteo and Carla were wonderful hosts, cheerful, welcoming and speak excellent English which is a huge help for those of us who speak limited Italian. Their small parking lot right next to the hotel is unique for old town Monterosso and a great perk, Matteo will even turn your car around to make it easy to leave down the narrow street. If you are driving there, call when you get to the turnaround before the traffic restricted zone and Matteo will come open the barrier quickly. They are super knowlegeable and helpful with the local hiking, restaurants, etc. We did not have a chance to participate in their pesto making class and dinner but the other guests who were participating seemed to be having a great time. The bountiful breakfast and the wine/espresso bar for afternoon relaxation were the icing on the cake.…
