WHAT I LIKED: This hotel has a great location across all road to beach. There is a really nice outdoor seating area above the beach for breakfasts and drinking wine while overlooking the Mediterranean sea. The train station and public parking are very close by. The room was large. WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE: The receptionist staff while we were there...

We picked this hotel for a couple reasons. 1. it is very close to the train station, just walk down the steps and you're there! 2. it has sea views which are spectacular. 3. It had modern bathrooms (albeit small). Hotel Baia staff were very friendly and inviting. We booked a triple room with sea views and although not fancy...

A bit dubious about the previous reviews but the staff were extremely helpful, attentive and always on hand to help. The tiny young lady who ran breakfast most days was exceptional. The biggest drawback is the lift ( only luggage) so not the best for elderly people ie 70s and 80s if you are ion the 3rd floor. Rooms clean ,...

We recently spent 6 nights here and absolutely loved it. We had a room on the top floor with an ocean view and balcony. The location of this property is second to none. The room was clean and we loved relaxing on the balcony. As soon as you step outside you are on the esplanade, surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and...

Hotel Baia is a simple hotel but in a great location in the best of the five towns to stay in. It has its own beach which you do have to pay 10 euro/day however you are paying for the umbrella and chairs. If you don't want to pay anything for your private beach just go down to the public...

Great location. Right next to the parking lot for rental car. Fabulous dining choices within walking distance. A short walk to the ferry that takes you to the other towns. Nice breakfast. Good coffee. Family run hotel. Helpful staff. The lady serving breakfast was always very helpful and friendly. There is also a laundry service right around the corner that...

Staff unfriendly, beds hard, room small. Other than location this hotel has nothing going for it. They charge additional for everything. I have never met such a rude person at the front desk, I recommended not going here.

Like a lot of European hotels, old rooms, dated bedding, average towels, and dated bathrooms. Sea view room is the only reason we chose this hotel, but constantly had the smell of smoke coming from the street below which is a hub of activity. Location is great and front desk had great endorsements for local restaurants. Breakfast was very average...

We recently stayed 3 terrific nights at the Hotel Baia. I am still trying to figure out how this hotel could be rated the 16th of 20 hotels in Monterosso. The location is great. It is a few short steps from the beach and a one minute walk to the train station. While the bathroom was small, the room was...
