The rooms are cosy and clean, but no one had mentioned just how close to the rail tracks the accommodation is. Trains fly by at full speed at all hours of the morning. We would consider staying again, but would try to book the room the furtherest away from the tracks.

This hotel was excellent value! It was considerably cheaper than other options and the location was very good (paved road minutes away from the train station, so very easy to wheel my luggage to and from). The hotel was comfortable and clean and the owner was very friendly. It should be noted that there is no air conditioning or fan... More

Upon arrival in Monterosso, we found the reception quite easily thanks to Ermanna's directions and though we had to wait a while for her to come and check us into the room, she was helpful with queries and chores we wanted done. The room itself though basic to the bones, was very well situated and we even had partial view... More

This is one of the worst places I have ever stayed - it ruined Cinque Terre for us. The rooms are in an apartment building with paper thin walls and it smells like cigarette smoke. Our room window opened up to someone else patio (awkward!) and was so hot because we could not open the window as a result. The... More

We were staying in the Cinque Terre for 2 nights for the purpose of doing the hike. We wanted to stay in Monterroso al Mare as it was the largest down and the ideal starting and end point (start point for the hike, best to stay due to the number of restaurants). We were looking for a clean room to... More

First off when my wife and I arrived at Le Sirene we were shocked to find no safe no air conditioning or way of making coffee so we thought oh no but we met the lady who runs the hotel the most charming lady. We found our room small but comfy and to be truthful we loved the whole experience... More

Monterosso is such an amazing place and staying right near the beach and a short walk to the old town (and start of the Cinque Terre walking track) was fantastic, but the room was so hot and stuffy (no air con, only a small desk fan and unable to keep the window open at night due to security) made sleeping... A friendly-run place but spacious and comfortable are not exactly the operative words. It was very easy to find from the train station and is in an excellent location for the beach, local bars and restaurants. The bathroom is basic and as hot as a sauna but otherwise nice and clean. The bedroom is very cramped and has only the... More

Let me start saying that I have been in very simple places in Africa and southamerica and this olace is simply overpriced. The appartmebts recently reburbished means just painted. There is no AC, no good fan, the room for 4 was meabt fir 2.... More

Because of problems with a reservation in Corniglia we were pressed to find a room and were lucky that we were able to get two nights at Raggi di Sole. This was not luxury by any means, but it was clean, located just minutes from the beach, cafes, and restaurants. The small veranda gave us a view of the water... More
