Andrea, the proprietor is very helpful and welcoming--providing maps, restaurant and travel information. The location of this hotel is very close to the parking garage and to the trains and boats. We loved Monteresso al Mare and were very glad we stayed in this particular Cinque Terre town. The hotel was clean and comfortable and had a nice patio for... More

My husband and I fell in love with Cinque Terre and this was one of the best places in Italy that we stayed. The owner, Andrea, was so nice and helpful and really made an impact on our stay here. The room was very clean and there was a bathroom in the room which was a plus. The price was... More

This hotel is small and personable, well located, simple, clean, good value and, most of all, welcoming. Andrea and his staff offer a smiling face, helpful touches and advice, a map with recommendations of where to eat, posted weather forecasts, and the list goes on. He is quite willing to please. Any place can offer a room but few can... More

We have traveled a lot and stayed at a lot of great places, but after a 3-night stay at al Carugio we decided we have to write our first tripadvisor review. Andrea the owner is a wonderful person, always smiling and always helpful. When we checked in he showed us on the map the places in town he likes the... More

A ten minute walk from the train station and you'll meet Andrea who is incredibly happy and helpful. We were stranded at the end of our stay due to a train strike and because his hotel was booked, he found us a room at a nearby hotel. Wifi is great! Water pressure is the best of all our hotels in... My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night on our Italian vacation, and received such great service from the hotel staff. Everyone was friendly and kind, couldn't ask for better! It's situated on a main street in Monterosso but away from most of the noise, and it is easy to start the Cinque Terre hike from there.... More

The hotel is very easy to find and only a ten min walk from the train station in monterosso. The rooms are very clean! Andrea is the best host there is! He was so helpful with every question we had and gave excellent selections from restaurants to activities on the beach. This is a must stay just because of him

I could not recommend this hotel higher especially for the rate compared to other places in the area. First, the manager returned my inquiries almost immediately. Second, when we arrived he was so pleasant and abundant with information for our trip that we were immediately at ease. It is a great location for parking and walking to the hotel. It... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights a few days ago. The owner Andrea is the best host you could ever have. His recommendations were excellent and his friendly manner made you feel extremely welcome. The hotel itself is about a 10-15 minute walk from the station, with a flight of stairs at the entrance. Our room although... More
