AS previously mentioned, the room you were assigned did meet your requests and needs. Room changing was not possible in the evening and we are sorry you refused our solution for the following day. Yours sincerely, Riccardo Allodi Duty Manager

I stayed in Parma for a few days and chose this hotel due to its relatively good rating. The hotel is relatively well located. A few minutes aways from the central station and very close to the historical centre of the city. Also there is a small convencience store around the corner.
The room was spacious and the bathroom was quite modern. However, the style of the furniture was a bit trashy for my taste. Also, the hotel was very noisy. I could hear my neighbours taking a shower, laughing and talking during the day as well as during the late evening. I guess the walls are very thin.
The breakfast was ok but not that great. Actually I would have expected more quality for a 4 Star Hotel. Particularly the scrambled eggs swam in an oily liquid and I did not dare to eat much of it. Moreover, I did not like the behaviour of the staff in the dining hall. The greated everyone, except the guests who did not speak Italian. This is a no go for an internationally positioned hotel chain such as Mercure hotels. It also is a sign of disrespect towards its customers.
Finally, I think the hotel is way overpriced and can not live up in service or quality with the demanded price. I am not sure whether I would stay in this hotel again.

It was OK, but I would not rate this hotel as 4 star as it was advertised. It is regular 3 star hotel. And that's why I think it is overpriced. Hotel definitely needs an upgrade. Breakfast was good with meet and cheese and baked verity.

We stayed here for three days during the Parma Palio which was at a park a block away. Unfortunately while there the street was being reconstructed, but workers didn't start until about 8 AM. The hotel is very clean, quiet, large room with fridge, and we had a lovely balcony (which overlooked the park entrance) with chairs and a table. Great linens and mattress, frig, TV, lounge chairs. Good lighting. We stopped in the small hotel bar for a drink...drink was good, munchies were very stale. Front desk was very helpful and no language difficulties. Would gladly stay there again.

We have stayed 5 nights in this hotel and frankly do not have anything negative to say about it. The rooms were spacious (we paid extra for the superior rooms); breakfast rich and can accommodate any preference; the staff were nice and the location superb.
There is one important thing to note: the hotel clearly states they have their own parking for guests.
That is not exactly true.
Our friends had to pay 75€ for 5 nights just for the parking.
We came with a motorcycle. The clerk in the hotel told us we cannot park near the hotel because the police will tow it!!
It was impossible to park in the underground public parking because of the steep slops and uneven tarmac.
So we left the bike outside despite her advice and then saw the sign clearly stating that this parking place is designated for bikes and bicycles.... The question is: Why did the hotel blonde female clerk referred us to the public parking, needlessly??? Is it a sort of arrangement with the public parking?
Thank Pnina K
