This was a last minute addition to our itinerary and it was a gem. Very cute room, a little small but okay. The road was a little noisy but was quiet in the night. No aircon unfortunately. The best thing was the restaurant. We knew it was going to be good when so many people showed up. The staff were great, spoke good English and the food was amazing. Our food was amazing but the food that all the other tables ordered looked amazing as well. Definitely worth a stop here after a visit to the Ferrari Museum.

The countryside charm of the hotel won us over as we drove into the parking lot. The staff are incredibly helpful, the dinner was delicious and the room was very clean and comfortable. We found the hotel at the last minute and were surprised they had a room available. More amazing is how affordable both the room and dinner were. What a gem!

My wife and I stayed at the Mulino for 3 nights in late November, as part of a driving tour of Tuscany and Emilia-.Romagna. We picked it based on the good reviews here and it seemed a reasonably central location for day trips to Parma, Modena, and Bologna.

We were very pleased with our selection. The Mulino is located on a busy secondary road about 15 minutes off the Autostrade. Our room, on the second floor at the back, was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The Locanda has antique tools and mill implements scattered about for decoration to a very pleasing effect. We were welcomed by all at the desk staff who were helpful with questions, directions, brochures, and suggestions.

The restaurant is a real find, we ended up eating here each night as it seemed pointless to look for anything better. I love the local fried dough, and the kitchen does a great job of presenting some great ER dishes and has a good wine list.

Yes we will be back.

The Locanda Del Mulino is more a bed and breakfast than a hotel with a country farmhouse feel. A few miles from downtown and the Ferrari museum and factory, its quiet setting is very peaceful and relaxing. The room was rather large for Europe and the shower was amazing. The friendly reception we received at check-in and throughout our stay was the best I experienced my entire trip.

The restaurant was a highlight. It was booked solid with well-dressed locals on a Sunday night. The 2 waiters were friendly and looked genuinely happy while working hard to serve about 20 tables. This top service combined with a diverse menu full of fabulous dishes made our stay in Italy memorable.

What a wonderful place to stay. Can't say enough the rooms were so wonderfully decorated and clean. We were on the second floor and our room had sky lights with remote shades, very nice.
I also had a great view of the vines which is all apart of the area. We had breakfast included the only way to go. We ate at the restaurant which is in the same building but not part of the hotel. The decor included a working water wheel which we sat next to. The food was great.

Lovingly restored ancient building, great atmosphere, very nice rooms, absolutely clean, excellent breakfast, good rate, friendly and helpful staff (including international phonecall due to a forgotten jacket...) - also the restaurant is very nice! Quiet location ca. 2km outside Maranello.
All in all it was a pleasure to stay there - highest recommended!

I stayed at Locanda during a business trip to Maranello, it was recommended by a colleague and I was not disappointed. The hotel is clean, the rooms have everything you could need and the restaurant is exceptional. The staff we very kind and knew their job well.

I would definitely stay again when visiting my colleagues in Maranello!

If you are visiting Maranello you have to stay at "La Locanda Del Mulino". A stunningly restored property with spacious bedrooms and en suite bathrooms decorated with impeccable taste and with cleanliness and comfort being a top priority. You cannot help but be impressed with this hotel which is run by extremely friendly and pleasant Management and staff. I always look forward to my next visit to "La Locanda", I highly recommend you try it out too.

We found Locanda del Mulino on TripAdvisor - and we were not disappointed! It was perfect. We sent out an e-mail to make a reservation a month before we arrived, they were very warm and instantly made a reservation. I knew this was going to be a super experience.

We were driving in from Badgastein, Austria, spent a day in Venice, and stopped over at the hotel on our drive to Rome. I had to spend a day in Maranello and visit the Ferarri factory *and* where best to test drive a Ferrari than in Maranello - Ferrari's home.

We drove in late, but our GPS led us straight to the hotel. From the minute we entered, the reception was warm and we were shown to our room. The room was small, but the beds were large enough for us (2 adults and 2 children - 9 yrs and 4 yrs). The room was beautiful and clean. The bathroom was clean and good to have hot running water after the long day.

The hotel was located off the highway, without a GPS, we would never have found it. In the morning, armed with a local map (which the hotel owner gave us), it seemed the location was perfect. Close to the highway and the Ferarri factory and museum.

Our dinner was perfect - the right portions and taste to die for. We picked a nice wine. They had a good selection of wines. The neighboring table had a bunch of engineers from Ferrari - it was GREAT!

We slept well. The bed was very comfortable and woke up refreshed. The breakfast was not elaborate, but was enough. We never expected an elaborate breakfast, but were happy there was enough choice to satisfy very picky children.

We met the owner over breakfast. He showed us around, the walls all had tools and stuff from the old mill (before it was converted to a hotel). He was very helpful - he pulled out a local map and explained how to get around. Check out was quick. I wish we could have stayed longer.
