Casa Ilaria is located in a very nice university area near piazza Verdi. We booked with them based on Tripadvisor reviews, knowing that warm and helpful service is one of the things that make a trip special, and that often B&Bs offer more personalized service than hotels. Unfortunately, we were wrong. The B&B itself is rather charming, nicely decorated and...

This guesthouse has an excellent location around 10minutes walk from piazza maggiore but was very quiet and spotlessly clean. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, and breakfast was an excellent spread of bread, ham, cheese, yoghurts and homemade cakes. Highly recommended.

Apart from the difficulty of finding the place - we were looking for a grand hotel entrance and we found a lovely simple Bolognese door plate - it is a superb, value for money, very friendly, brilliant location, comfortable B & B. We won't repeat all the nice things everyone else has said but we agree with them all! Being...

Where else in the middle of a vibrant, busy city can you open your bedroom windows onto trees and birdsong? It has to be Casa Ilaria right on the edge of the edgy university quarter in Bologna. The delightfully decorated bedroom was lofty and capacious - plenty of hanging and storage space for a week's luggage at least. Large ensuite...

A delightful stay in beautiful quiet surroundings at the heart of a bustling old town. A friendly, personal atmosphere in a converted part of an old Italian residence. Beautiful rooms facing a quiet courtyard hide the lively atmosphere in the narrow streets close to the old University. Quality restaurants abound to supplement the wonderful home cooking of breakfast at Casa...

Good central location, part of an old Pallazo. Like staying in a friend's house rather than a hotel, with attractive and comfortable rooms making a nice change from bland hotels. Tiziana makes you very welcome and provides delicious cakes for breakfast. We had a slight problem one night with a noisy boiler in the loft above our room, but it...

Perfect location in central Bologna, walking distance from everywhere. Delightful immaculate bedroom with separate bathroom, it felt like staying with friends. We were encouraged to make ourselves at home in this beautiful appartment. The breakfasts were lovingly prepared by Tiziana who baked delicious fresh cakes most days. We had a very enjoyable morning learning how to make fresh pasta and...

At Eastern we went a couple days to Bologna. We discovered this excellent B&B: near to the city center, private parking place, delicious self-made breakfast, possibility to use kitchen, clean & quiet rooms, a lot of autonomy / privacy, a very warm welcome & personal service, .... what do you need more! "Casa Tiziana" has everything that we expect from...

This is a well located, well appointed and quite stylish B&B. Close to all the main attractions and close to the university so you can soak up the university atmosphere which is very much part of the city. Also close enough to the station to walk (takes maybe 15 minutes so not so good if you have heavy luggage, but...
