We had such a nice stay here. Location wise its great, not in the thick of it all but close enough and giving you plenty of opportunity to take a different route back each time through the little streets, accidentally stumbling past the amazing gelaterias and trattorias near by. The hotel is gorgeous, so tastefully restored and with a little...

This will always be held as one of our most memorable stays in Italy. The suite was so unusually designed and artistic - much like the city of music where it is located. The staff was so accommodating and despite how crazy the Orfeo location is (the street never really stops with fast traffic), we did manage to get our...

Our arrival started off by the hotel manager rushing out to our taxi to assist us with our luggage even though we hadn't even informed them what time we were arriving! This set the scene for the whole weekend. He booked us into 3 excellent restaurants that he recommended, slightly off the tourist trail plus also helped us plan our 2...

We stayed in a duplex suite ... quirky, comfortable and fun. The staff is terrific, well informed and helpful. Room was clean and turned down every evening. Located in a nice neighborhood and easy walk to central town. Also close to the bus route if you are traveling further. Bologna is a great food town and the staff recommended several...

I was a bit nervous flying into Bologna, as I hadn't been to Italy in over 25 years. When we arrived at Il Convento, though, we were very warmly welcomed. All the staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful. Although the weather was hot, the room was cool and quiet, and well appointed with linen sheets. The location is excellent: in...

We just spent 3 nights at Il Convento and were able to walk (literally) all over the old city of Bologna and still be only a block off the 'ring roads' that will get you quickly out of town for a day trip. The location proved ideal and the place a hidden gem! The name translates into " Convent of...

Rooms were comfortable, and the staff was amazing. Breakfast is served until 11am and they don't try to kick you out of your room early the day of your departure. I will return the next time I'm in Bologna.

Il Convento dei Fiori di Seta, a charming boutique hotel, is on a quiet street just a few minutes from the bustling centre of Bologna. The staff is friendly, charming, and delighted to answer questions and offer help and suggestions on restaurants and such. The hotel itself is very comfortable and quiet. The design scheme is a mix of modern...
