I made a reservation at the Holiday Hotel in Bologna, during March 2016: at that time I was travelling along Italy for work and therefore I had to stop by Bologna for a couple of days. I still remember how bad that experience was, like it happened yesterday. First of all, there were no receptionists waiting for my arrival, as...

The Hotel is well located, right in the middle between the train station and Piazza Maggiore. It's in a quiet side street, 2 blocks away from Via dell'Indipendenza. It's very close to restaurants and a supermarket can be found a stone's throw away. The Hotel is well kept, clean and comfortable. Our room was clean and quiet and had tea...

The location of this well run hotel far out weighs the initial impression, as does the comfortable and well maintained interior. The staff are friendly, helpful and always ready for a chat. the rooms are comfortable and exactly what you need in a central location to use as a base to explore this fantastic area of Italy. 10 minutes walk...

Took aerobus in from airport-not easiest to find in Bologna Airport where Information lady was a poor ambassador of the job she held. Got off very crowded bus at Via Dei Mille and with help of my good map reading skills and general sense of direction, got to rue Bernier within 10-15 min. Every street changes names every block. VERY...

The hotel was an easy walk from the main train station in Bologna. It was in a good position to visit the main sites of the city. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you want wifi it costs extra. Breakfast was okay. A few items of cake, bread, meat and cereal. Our room was spacious and the shower was...

staff were very accomodating, room and hotel a little dated (carpet walls) room was fair size. Room bit warm due to air con restrictions. Breakfast good. Shop few metres away which had everything you'd need. few bars near by which were nice.

We really loved our 5 night stay in Bologna. Hotel Holiday is centrally located 5 minutes to the main piazza and the train station. The hotel is basic but clean with a good breakfast selection. The staff were welcoming and attentive. Great value leaving spare cash for day trips to Rimini and Firenze. So much more to see in the...

Very simple and looks poor. My room was absolutely not renovated at least for the last 30 year !!! Was here for the Bologna Beauty faire, so I payed much more the the normal price, almost 300€ per night!!! No fear .... People are so good and kind but the hotel is horrible !

We traveled off season and the rates were a great value. Staff friendly, room and bathroom were large fry European standards. Rooms are clean but a bit dated (i.e. some tiles may be cracked/chipped, etc). This doesn't bother us, but if it is a concern for you know that it's there. Decent breakfast. Awesome location - only 5-10 min walking...

Holiday Hotel can be a bit tricky to find but it is a lovely and essential hotel. It is situated nearby Bologna Centrale (Main Station) and the main places of interest like La Torre Degli Asinelli. The staff was nice and friendly and the room was alright.

“If you want a quite room, ask to stay at the back. No view, but at least you will sleep. Even if the hotel is located in an alley, there is a lot of traffic (mopeds) and people walking and talking aloud.”
