Very well located for central Bologna. Free wi-fi worked fine. Staff helpful and friendly. Clean. The hotel is not without charm but feels very dated. The rooms were clean but could benefit from modernisation - particularly the lighting. Only one obvious electrical socket free. The breakfact room got very crowded. Ok breakfast but nothing special. No bar - only coin...

When you come to this place, you think you are caught in an italian film from days gone by. Everything reminds you that this hotel once was a palace. They still try to keep it going, so do not expect modern luxury but a style that once was great. Rooms were clean and well looked after, w-lan did work in...

I happen to like places that are not a chain and not like every other place. This tired lady from the past is, I think, charming with her long, long hallways, solid furniture and eager hard-working staff. Yes, the carpets are stained (with every stain showing serious attempts to clean it) the lighting either too bright or too dim, the...

I went for business for one night and I took this hotel because it was the only one available which didn't cost 300€ per night. Anyway it was 160€ for a room with a double bed. When I arrived I realized how old and bad maintained it was and how desperately it needs some works to modernize it. The room...

For a one-night business visit to Bologna, this hotel offered good value including a reasonable breakfast. My single bedroom lighting was very limited, particularly the bathroom which was dimly lit. As were the corridors. The hotel seemed clean but the furnishings were elderly. Courteous front desk service, I did not need anything else in the way of room service.

good location and most of the staff are very helpful , the hotel is old but clean the rooms facing the main road can be subject to some noise from a few bars at night but closing the shutters and windows cures that,in high summer that may be an issue as no zircon or fans, the rooms are generally large...

We stayed this week, unfortunately only for 1 night. We loved the Hotel Palace immediately. As other reviewers have said, it's a bit tired & has faded grandeur but this made us love it more. It has bags of character & for a medieval city like Bologna, it's totally in keeping with its surroundings. Although the bathroom was needing attention...

This hotel is very well located, right in the centre of Bologna. Besides that, there's not much more to say. The single room I stayed in was very small, smelly, old-fashioned and shabby. The shower was tiny... Breakfast was minimal.

Husband paid $350 US for a double for single use room. High price due to trade show. Still, shouldn't have to deal with a stinky sewer smell in the bathroom. Told hotel was full so they couldn't move his room. To add insult to injury, A/C not functional.
