Stayed at this hotel early October 2020. One word WOW ! Totally excellent in every way. Felt very safe and looked after. The room was lovely and I wanted to take the bed home, so comfortable, and huge ! Would totally recommend. A* guys
Beautiful hotel in a perfect location in a wonderful city. No more than a minutes’ walk away from the magnificent Piazza Navona and its surrounding side streets with a plethora of great restaurants and bars; I could not recommend the Palazzo Navona Hotel highly enough. Modern décor, lovely clean and tidy bedrooms, excellent breakfast and such kind, helpful and attentive staff. A real pleasure to have just spent three nights staying there. However, I must take serious issue with the previous idiotic review of the guest from Denmark. The rooftop terrace was still open to guests but yes it was not serving drinks as they would have liked; perhaps because like many cities and hotels around the world their business has been severely affected by a downturn in trade due to Covid19 and have accordingly had to adjust their own staffing and public safety costs accordingly. Almost all hotels these days expect you to provide passport and credit card verification and, in these times, if a simple temperature check on arrival is an inconvenience then I suggest you stay at home in Denmark. The necessary safety checks at the Palazzo Navona were both highly professional and reassuring. Needless to say I won’t be visiting Denmark but would definitely return without question to the Palazzo Navona Hotel. Finally, just a quick shout out to Mr.100 Tiramisu, just 50 or so yards around the corner from Palazzo Navona Hotel, for quite possibly the best fine wine, meats, cheese and hand-made tiramisu anywhere in Rome; and maybe even in Italy. A wonderful stay and a huge thank you to everyone at the Palazzo Navona Hotel.…
Location is a 5*, (walking distance to most of major attractions) - also the staff were always friendly and helpful, every thing was also spotlessly clean - however given a 3* based solely on room amenities : In a 4* hotel in an executive room I would expect decent fluffy towels, maybe even a robe - also coffee making facilities - small kettle with sachets of Nescafé and paper cups with a wooden stirrer - the breakfast coffee in restaurant was lovely... but personally like a morning brew in my room when away, and every other 4* I’ve stayed in offered pod machine or some such.
We were moved here from another hotel in the Mood Hotels chain, due to issues around COVID-19. The room was quite small, with a fridge that didn't work (this was replaced quickly). The shower - usually a big plus in this chain - didn't work properly, and when it did it flooded the bathroom. This sort of shower, which is excellent, only really works in a shower cubicle. The bed was fantastic. The breakfast was quite good.
Had been looking forward to visiting this hotel due to its very good ratings and beautiful roof terrace which is displayed as the main attraction. On arrival, we experienced a rather indifferent demand to see our passports and credit card, rather than being greeted with a warm welcome. My travel companion was almost pushed by the bell boy in order for her to stand in front of the temperature scanner, which was most inappropriate. After passing this, we were informed by the less than customer service-minded receptionist Silvia that due to COVID-19 serving drinks on the roof terrace had been cancelled (apparently based on the logic that consumption of alcohol leads directly to contracting COVID-19), leaving us with the impression that it was somewhat inappropriate for us to go there. After hearing Silvia reeling off all the COVID-19 precautions, we went to our room. Hoping to get a Coca-Cola after the long travel, I looked in the mini-bar to find only mineral water. Asking the bell boy if it was possible to get a Coca-Cola I was met with the response "No, not possible due to COVID"?? , which doesn't make any sense. In all fairness our room was spacious with good aircondition and high quality bathroom facilities, but we couldn't forget the unfriendly reception and feeling of being a nuisance to the staff. We do want to emphasize that the receptionist Federica was very courteous and service-minded, which is to be commended. Needless to say, we won't be returning to this hotel.…
