Arrived home yesterday following 4 night stay at hotel romanico palace. On arrival we had to wait 2 hours for check in but we did not mind as we were able to leave out bags safely at the hotel and go and have some lunch - places close by to eat and borghese park about 10-15 min walk away. Staff...

The hotel is located slightly outside the historical centre of Rome near the Borghese Park. It's within walking distance of the centre, but if you go to Trastevere bus 80 stops just outside your door. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The Spa could be a upgraded a bit, but it's fine. All in all a pleasant stay.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
