Stayed for 2 nights in hot July. The hotel is in 3rd floor and the elevator might not always work because of the electricity cut outs. Room was very small, hardly fit the double bed in it, but clean. Bathroom was neat, no complaints. The worst thing was though that air conditioning didn't work. The lowest setting was to 28...

I stayed in Hotel Max 3 nights. Nice standard. Enough space for one person with little luggage. The hotel is about 3 min from Termini central station which is central place for bus metro and train. There are also some good raiser and in the same or the streets close to the hotel.

This hotel is very close to the train station. The building is split in 2 with hotel max on the left side on floor 3 and 5. The building has 6 hotels. There was a small lift for 4 people or 2 people with bags. The stairway in the building is grubby and will put you off. As mentioned the...

We had a lovely four night stay at MAX Hotel early June 2015 . Great location , just a few minutes walk from Rome Termini (and the Leonardo Express). The hotel was easy to find and is on the 3rd floor of a building, there is an elevator. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful and spoke good English....

The staff were super friendly and helpful. The Hotel was ok but the air-conditioner wasn't working when I was there and it was so hot I couldn't sleep. Breakfast was pretty good though. If they get the air-conditioner sorted I'd probably go back.

Dear Guest, thank you for your review. First of all I want to apologize for the inconvenient caused by the malfuction of air conditioning but a mechanical part of the machine is broken and it's not very easy to find and this of course happened when in Rome there is an exceptional hot of more than 40 degrees....Then I want...

We picked the place because of the location and good reviews. It was a smart choice. This is a small hotel located on the third floor of a building. The place looks recently renovated and is really clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were leaving for the airport early in the morning and were given nice breakfast...

Close to the terminal, SUPER friendly front desk staff (thanks Marco for all your help!) clean rooms, early check-in allowed, late check out, great value! The shower was a bit on the small side but I'm not exactly a small guy! Perfect for couples that would rather spend money on great Italian food and drink and see the sites instead...

Centrally located, 2 mins walk from the Termini, 10 mins walk to Colosseum. Rooms were slightly small but fairly maintained. The breakfast was basic but the coffee was one of the best that we tasted. Recommended for Rome city sight seeing.

This is an excellent small hotel near Termini station (main station in Rome) The hotel itself is on 3de floor, it is sufficiently high so you do not really hear the traffic. The rooms are small, clean and functioning. Includes a light breakfast in a minimalist setting that can not be recommended for people over 100 kg. The staff was...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
