This was an unexpectedly nice place to stay. I wish I had known that more than 2 people could have stayed in an apartment, however you have a kichenette, table that seats 4, couch/ single bed in front room. Queen bed in bedroom with wardrobe,...More
The staff was wonderful, Lory is the best. She recommended some good places to eat. Nice apartments in a great location. I highly recommend. This place has an elevator which is rare in Italy. I would stay there again.

This is a perfect place to stay if you need space. Just down road from the Vatican and castle San Angelo, it is in a brilliant and safe location. We stayed in a grand apartment with three rooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen area with...More

The location of Borgo Pio is great for visiting the Vatican but you definitely need to get friendly with public transportation to go anywhere else. Bus tickets can be purchased at the Mini Mart and we found the bus drivers to be very helpful.
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as
visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
