My wife, daughter, and I stayed here two weeks ago for three nights. The proximity to Termini Station made it easy to get everywhere. The room was clean, breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and all staff were extremely polite and helpful (especially Doreen). And the restaurant next door, Culinaria, is absolutely amazing.

During our recent travel to Valencia, Belgium, Amsterdam, Barcelona and Rome we stayed in many hotels and the Hotel Diocleziano was one of our absolute favourites! The staff were excellent; always wanting to assist, always smiling, and always had a kind word to share. The breakfast buffet was the best we ever had. Again, the staff there were excellent and...

We stayed at the Hotel Dioclezanio last week and had a great stay. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we couldn't spend our first night here; however, we were given a free drink whilst waiting for a taxi to take us to the partner hotel. Once there, a room wasn't ready but we were given a complimentary glass of sparkling wine on...

I stayed at this hotel on a family holiday to Rome at the beginning of March. The hotel is located on a quiet side street about five minutes walk from the main train station - great location for getting the train to and from the airport however it is a little out of the center. The staff were extremely friendly...

This hotel met my three basic requirements - clean, quiet, and a comfortable bed. With the bed you get pillow choices, and my mattress was too firm for my liking so they put on a nice topper which made it perfect. The hotel is conveniently located to everything, staff are helpful and friendly, and the breakfast is good with plenty...

This was our second visit to the Hotel Diocleziano and it didn't disappoint. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff are welcoming, polite and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel should be very proud of their staff, they are a credit to the hotel especially Lavinia and Giordando on reception. The hotel is a convenient short distance...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
