Excellent and very practical location, great service and staff, very friendly and helpful. Rooms are minimalistic but tidy and in good conditions. I was in a mix 4 bedrooms, there was enough space for each and all, lockers and so on, but not more. Common areas are great and the staff makes a great tea in case of cold! To...

My friend and I were visiting Rome for a few days and decided to stay at The Yellow, having found it to be really well reviewed, in a great location, and reasonably priced. We were both really impressed with everything about our stay: the staff were welcoming and helpful, the rooms were clean and spacious, and the bar/club was really...

It was great being there , the staff is great, the location perfect and we met so many nice people at the yellow bar, definitely coming back :). The fact of having a night club downstairs is fab, however a free breakfast would be good.

The yellow hostel was an ok choice for me and my boyfriend. The highlight of the place is the yellow bar, great staff, good prices and it was always busy. Everything else needs work, the kitchen was messy. If you are the type like us who like to sleep at night this place is not for you

Stayed in Rome last year for a week and heard great things about The Yellow hostel, so I decided this time while in Rome I'll give it a chance. Check in was very slow (10-15mins) and the confusing part is you don't stay where you check in. Across the street above the bar is where the dorms are. This felt...

Until I stayed at The Yellow I had never stayed in a hostel before. I was there with my cousin and some of his friends and we definitely enjoyed ourselves. They offered many services and discounts for tourist activities. They even printed my boarding pass for me!

Traveling around Europe, this is by far one of the best hostels I've stayed at. The rooms are clean and well kept, shower facilities are amazing. It's only a few minutes walk to the metro. Ideal location and worth the money you spend. Won't regret your stay! 😁

I've stayed in a few hostels on my travels, but this hostel was the best. Clean, secure, good setup. The yellow bar has good range of drinks at good prices. Very social place. I didn't do any of the tours on offer, but they seem to be well priced

Had a really good stay at the yellow. Very close to main train station so it's walkable, I used it for this reason as I had to be at the airport for 6am! Room and bed was very secure and clean, I stayed in the 6 bed female with private bathroom. When I arrived, I was told that I had...

Good location; clean; very good atmosphere; perfect for solo travelers or if u wanna meet new friends. Bed is a little noisy shaking though and some staffs are so nice. But after all, it's still excellent.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
