single room was rather small! Breakfast was too little! Hotel is at walking distance of Rome Central Station (Termini). Room was cleaned every day. Hotel can be noisy when school kids are staying for a few nights in the same hotel.

A combination of a low budget, clean room & bathrooms, welcoming stuff and very helpful. It is a comfortable hotel, situated 2min far from Termini station. The rooms are arranged on the many floors but without a lift. The hotel provides a fast free wifi service.

Cervia is close to Termini station. Easy to reach. Next to the Independence square. It was clean enough, but it reminded me a motel not a hotel or hostel. Just because there was no lobby, a place to sit in the evenings, place where you can communicate with the others who stay there. Actually in all the hotels and hostels...

The smell of feet was overpowering from the minute I walked into the room. I opened the window and thought it would go away. It ended up being the bedding that smelled. I got NO sleep because the walls were so thin I could clearly hear the conversations of the other guests until well into the morning and I was...

Great hotel for your money in Rome. Owners are spectacularly helpful, especially Sandra. Good, cheap pizza and espresso across the street. Near bus and train station - really handy location when you're tired from your trip and you just want to be able to walk to your hotel from the train.

The hotel rooms were very neat and are cleaned daily. The rooms are reasonably spacious and the shared bathrooms are very clean. The staff are helpful. Location wise, it is close to bus stops and a few minutes walk to the main train/metro and bus station.

I have stayed here for 10 years or more because I have a very friendly rapport with the staff and I think I have discovered an encyclopaedia of what's happening in Rome. Two examples. Sandra, the co-owner, said I MUST visit the Antonello da Messina exhibition at the Scuderia. I'd never hear of him. It was stunning, especially his Madonna....

We enjoyed our stay. We had a room with three beds for three singles so was a bit crowded and on the weekend there was noise from the restaurant downstairs, but we knew in advance about this from other reviews and were prepared for that. It really wasn't a problem. The place is in a great spot near the station,...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
