I arrived at Rome almost midnight luckily the hostlel is near to the Rome Termini Train station so i just walk to get here. The problem is that the hostel operates under the name of Hotel Corallo. Luckily i managed to find this hostel or not ill end up sleeping out in the streets. The staff is okay but i...

First of all, you'll probably have trouble finding the place, as it is a hostel within a hotel (called Corallo). Look for the restaurant next door called Yellow. I stayed in a private room with my boyfriend on a floor shared with other private rooms. It wasn't that bad though the bathrooms were not cleaned. The reason for my poor...

Do not go to this hostel. The owner was so rude and condescending he could barely look at us. I was here with my son and the room was awful. No window and the beds and pillows were lumpy and dirty. The first night we were on our own but the second night a couple of guys arrived at 2am...

I have stay in this Hostel 2 times. I found out this time my impression is worse. Because of the train lated for 3 hours, when I reached the Hostel, it was already passed mid-night, it still took 25 minutes for the simple check-in procedure. I have stayed in the hostel for 3 nights have contact with the staff few...

The owner, Andrew, doesn't speak English but he tries to be helpful. And you have to wait for him, especially when you arrive at night. The location is perfect! All in all I can recommend thos hostel!

I was a bit late when booking so other hotels Were expensive I saw this hostel had quite bad reviews, but I did not experience big problems. Overall is was very satisfactory, but cleanliness was a problem. It seems like they don't clean the bathroom often.

Nice and clean rooms. It was an apartment which is turned into hostel. So its pretty clean. Both bathroom and kitchen was nice. You will have your privacy. 7 mins walk from termini, So placement is good. But I had a hard time finding it. As the actual name of this hostel is 'Hotel Collaro'. The manager is a hot-head. I...

Located in the heart of the city center, it is only 3 minutes walk from from the Roma Termini. The hostel is housed in a old 6-storey building with other two 2-star hotels. Down stair are cafes, restaurants. Near-by there are supermarkets and shops. It has only 3 dorm rooms with totally 11 beds. A kitchen and common room, a...

I got in on a late flight and needed to stay somewhere near Termini. I found the location no problem and was happy to have read the other reviews because there is no Hostel Andrew desk - you check in at Hotel Collaro. I had booked ahead but I was a bit earlier than expected and noone was at the...

We booked Hostel Andrew at quite last minute as we needed to be near Termini Station for an early train. It's an easy 10 minute stroll from the station so convenient. Our first issue was in finding the place. We found the right address easily enough but all of the signage was for another property with no indication on the...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
