No hot water, sleepless nights, dirty floors and was charged £50 a night for 5 nights.. but with hidden costs came to over £300. Rude staff and a horrible smell in rooms towards the back of the building !Save your money.. anywhere else will be better!

We stayed here as there was a double booking at our accommodation, so they booked this place for us. I wish we hadn't! I usually understand not all places are perfect and will get it 100% but this was the worst I have ever stayed in. The staff at check in was very rude, kept asking if we would take...

Shower and toilet didn't work. Beds not changed. I could not sleep under the covers as there was stuff on the sheets I would rather not mention. Could not sleep as people where shouting all night outside my window. They had terrible WIFI. After two days I could not take it anymore,so I left early booked another decent hotel. As...

Couldn't believe how cheap it was. It was at a convenient location 1 minute walk from the train station and metro station which is very helpful when getting to other attractions (20 minute walk to colosseum). Was clean and neat. Good for the price. Was super easy to find.

I am not sure why people are not happy with this hotel. We had a double room with an ensuite which was spacious and clean and tidy. The odd lights didn't work but that was all. It was also right by the train station so ideal if you have a train to catch. I saw the communal toilets/ showers and...

Nice location. But apart from that there is nothing great about this place. You get what you pay for. Just bare necessities. Although I met some great people here. Also, the staff was really helpful in planning my trip.

This is a great hotel for people who want a no-frills bed and shower. It is very easy to find - you can literally see it from the airport-coach station outside Termini. I have stayed here each summer for about 10 years now and had no complaints. Ok, so it is scruffy looking and the TV / Wifi don't always...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
